(from Google)Great playground but no restrooms
This park was a great stop after buying good food from a nearby restaurant. There is an excavator like digger toy that my son really enjoyed playing with. It was nice to picnic there and relax on a road trip.
Medium to small sized park. Is older park that has been well maintained. Last month, April 2022, the City of Tempe, was asking for park user's input on the future of this park. I took picture of sign. The playground is well maintained and clean. Decent single sand volleyball court. Two soccer goal. Pitch is not good. If you have thoughts on this park it appears Tempe would appreciate your input.
Middle digger in playground was inoperable and broken. Appears to be a safety hazard. Tire swing came needs reinforcement as it detached as my daughter was getting on it. Missing (non-infant) swing needs replacing. Otherwise everything else was ordinary.
From my first visit here, I would say I didn't find the park too appealing. There is no off-street parking. Coming into the park, there's a sidewalk that leads to the playground and field area... There wasn't much to see. I don't remember seeing any restrooms/ fountains; they did have an outhouse by the sidewalk facing the street Walking toward the playground, there was a picnic ramada area so that was nice. I also saw some concrete picnic tables- maybe not comfy to sit on, but they were kept clean. Playground itself is unimpressive... outdated feel and drab colors.
