8 months update: Since my initial post, it's been 8 months and wanted to give a little update. Waffles graduated doggy school in December but I loved the training she received and wanted to build on the momentum. So I reached out to Waffles' favorite trainer, Rachel, and was like: can we figure out how to nail down loose leash training while she is at school?? Luckily, she said yes!!! She proposed that she pick up Waffles' from school and take her to nearby parks and drill in loose leash training. All I can say is wow, she's improved SIGNIFICANTLY - less distracted, way more attentive, and walks have become much more enjoyable. I love that Rachel thought up this plan and treats her as one of her own! Also knowing no force is ever used and just positive reinforcement gives me such relief. So happy to know that I can just drop her off and she's in excellent care and I never have to worry if something bad happened with her. My 1 yo golden retriever puppy has been going for about 1 month so far (2x a week dog school) and I’ve definitely seen improvement in her behavior with other dogs. The instructors know her so well! For instance when we come in the mornings, Donovan knows the best way to distract her is with peanut butter and has it immediately ready for when we get there. She’s pretty mellow afterwards which is a huge plus. Can’t recommend them enough! I’ve already enrolled her in 3x for next month. Can’t wait until they get to the leash manners portion haha

6 years out from my time with NWA School for Dogs and it is still the best investment I made! My dog’s training allows us to do all kinds of fun activities safely and with peace of mind knowing that we are a team and my sweet girl has the skills and training to listen to me. Can’t recommend working with this team enough.

Exceptional Training and Care! We couldn't be happier with our experience at Northwest Arkansas School for Dogs! The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about helping dogs and their owners succeed. Oliver started his training when he was 12 weeks old, and over three and a half years later, he still loves going to school. We adopted another dog from the Fayetteville Animal Shelter last summer, and NWA School for Dogs was our top choice for Ellie’s training. The trainers are incredibly skilled and patient, and they understand both of our dogs’ unique personalities and needs. At five months old, Ellie was very fearful and suffering from an extreme lack of confidence when we adopted her from the shelter, but the trainers’ positive reinforcement methods quickly built her self-confidence, and we saw noticeable improvements in her attitude and behavior within just a few sessions. The facility is clean, well-organized, and clearly designed with dogs' safety and comfort in mind. It's obvious that everyone truly cares about the animals they work with. Whether you're looking for basic obedience training, behavior modification, or just want to give your dog some structure and socialization, I highly recommend Northwest Arkansas School for Dogs. They've made such a positive difference for our family, and we're grateful for their expertise and dedication!

School for Dogs was immensely helpful to my dog, Zina. Zina is a pitbull with a traumatic and abusive past who I adopted. She had previously been kicked out of doggie daycare prior to School for Dogs. She now, once a week, is able to participate in doggie daycare, at a new location, due to all the previous efforts by Shanti and her team. I am so thankful for them and would highly recommend School for Dogs. I've attached pictures of Zina getting a long with a group of other dogs and behaving. This would not be the case had Zina not spent a year and a half at School for Dogs.
