(from Google)I booked routine services for my dog (vaccines, anal gland expression, and nail trimming) and took time off work to make sure everything could be completed in one visit. The appointment was disrupted by poor scheduling communication, and when we returned, the staff refused to complete the core services, claiming my dog was “too aggressive,” despite medication being provided and the fact that those procedures were the reason for the visit. The front desk communication was also rude and dismissive, and requests for basic safety options (like muzzling) were declined. My dog is under one year old and has extensive professional training. I felt the staff did not understand or handle my dog with the patience and safety approach needed for routine care.
I have 2 Healthy Frenchies and Banfield is part of their health care team. The Staff and Dr”s are amazing and make our pups and us feel very welcome. I highly recommend them.
I had a great experience at this location; I was able to secure an in-room appointment for my cat, Sox. Dr. Moore and his team demonstrated exceptional professionalism. Dr. Moore's expertise and bedside manner were particularly noteworthy, and he was very attentive to my cat's needs.
Dr. Amy Jones is a pet lover’s dream veterinarian. She is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and generous with her time. My lab mix, Midnight, has been diagnosed with dementia. Dr. Jones has been guiding me through Midnight’s struggles, potential strategies, and how we can work together to provide her relief. At the conclusion of our first appointment, Dr. Jones handed me her business card, which contains her email address. Late on Friday, I emailed Dr. Jones regarding increasingly troubling behaviors. Dr. Jones emailed back on Saturday stating medication alterations available and what to expect in terms of time. Her email was thoughtful and thorough. My family has been very happy with every provider and staff person during Midnight’s treatment at Banfield, Osprey Way, South Frederick.
Banfield as a whole is a mess. The employees are over worked and under appreciated. They are all constantly in edge and you can tell they are not focused. It’s all about money. I moved from the Urbana Pike Banfield to this location because I was unfortunately stuck in contracts for my dogs. The other banfield was a mess…they were always dirty…my dog picked up a literal needle in his mouth…there was blood spots every time I went…. so I was hoping this one would be better. While I did enjoy the front desk employees at this location…and they were clean…there were some vet techs and some vets that I didn’t trust. One particular vet tech I had watching over my dogs many times lacked empathy to the extreme. The final straw was when I took my 12 year old senior dog who has arthritis and was there for a pancreatitis follow up….this particular vet tech apparently was in a rush and wrapped her leash around his head and pulled my poor old dog so hard she SLAMMED his head into a large bag of food on the bottom shelf of petsmart. I said “can you please be careful! He isn’t feeling well and has arthritis!” She IGNORED ME and kept pulling him down the hall and when she opened up the heavy door to the back, she wasn’t even looking at him and the door fell on him. I was livid and disturbed. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she would watch over Gator so that vet tech wouldn’t touch him. After many sleepless night and crying spells thinking about what I witnessed and wondering what she was doing behind closed doors to animals when she was willing to do all that in-front of me…unfortunately I was stuck in a contract so I emailed the office asking if I continue to bring my dogs there could they promise this particular vet tech wouldn’t touch my animals again. I got NO RESPONSE! My email was ignored and my guess is nothing was addressed. This is animal abuse and it was allowed and I was ignored!! Needless to say I am never going to a Banfield again and found the most amazing vet at Brunswick Animal Crossing. Banfield is a corporate mess and this place is not safe for any animal.
