I have been going to different Banfields for nine years and this Banfield was very organized and they made me feel like a person. I was very worried about my dog and the vet coming out and talking to me and let me know exactly what was happening was very special and I hope that others get to experience that she’s very thorough and personable And the facility was clean the person that took me back into the waiting room for taking down all the information was also very kind, and they just were very approachable and made me feel comfortable, and my dog feel comfortable, which was important to me the location was convenient. It was easy to find, and everyone who walked in seem to be pleased with the work that they were doing.

A couple of years back I would’ve given banfield 5 stars and recommended them in a heartbeat but that’s definitely changed. My husband and I brought our Doberman to banfield MULTIPLE times for 2 years due to skin infections and a mass on his chest which was also due to a “skin infection”. We were always sent home with a medicated shampoo, some kind of spray that was supposed to help (never did), and antibiotics. We were also advised to change his food and that actually seemed to make it worse. Unfortunately, we had to rehome him so we sent over all the medical records we had from banfield. 2 days later, we received a text from his new owner after taking him to a vet, that he actually had fevers CONSTANTLY, his red blood cell count was low and he had thyroid issues. Banfield NEVER made us aware of any of those issues, we were always told that “all his test came back normal” … but clearly that wasn’t the case, our pup was suffering. I truly believe banfield has become more about the money rather than the wellbeing of our pups.

My dog was actually showing fear of getting in my truck after two visits to this site. Moving to Plano has been a great experience with the exception of dealing with either of the two locations here. The one on Park would not return my calls to schedule an appointment so I drive to the one on 75 and this happens….. Day 1 visit to get new home established and make wellness appointment with included with the program I’m on. No issues, in fact I was relieved- Until- i call to make follow up dental appointment and they tell me I need to wait 2-3 months. I ask why, I get out on hold 3 separate times for about 6-8 minutes only for the person to get back on the phone and literally repeat the same thing like a robot. Finally after nearly 30 minutes they agree to let me bring him in the following day at 7:15am Around 3pm after hearing nothing from them, I call them to get an update. Long story short he’s gonna have to be rescheduled. So he’s been in a crate all day with no food or water (because he drank water like I’ve never seen before) He pooped in the crate - obviously because no one was attentive to him and they barely cleaned the poop off of him and he stinks when getting in the car. So this morning I’m taking him to get cleaned and guess what- he doesn’t want to get into my truck- he’s shaking and visibly nervous. A 90 lb Catahoula not a 5 lb chihuahua - He doesn’t get scared to go places. I’m so frustrated with Banfield right now that I want to cancel my membership that I’ve had for almost 4 years. Nearly $4K worth of payments to have my dog who is a family member to us treated this way. It is absolutely unacceptable.

I took my first cat to this location on a Sunday, and Tram and Dr. Gomez gave me a wonderful first impression. Tram took a good 20 minutes telling me all about the plans I could do for my other senior cat. I was blown away by how awesome everyone was! I took my cat in today on a Monday for his first visit, and it went a little differently. The vet was fine. He's knowledgeable and knows more about his hyperthyroid condition than his previous vet. However, while the vet tech was very sweet and good to my cat, she just put my cats on two separate accounts. Its not a big deal, just a hassle because I had to create a whole new email address just to be able to create a new log in to see my other cat's information. But that is my ONLY "complaint" with this place. The plans are AMAZING. I wish I would have come to this place sooner!! The prices I've been paying are astronomically higher than banfield, for the same quality of care. As an example, a simple thyroid blood check at his old vet cost me $63 and here at banfield (with the 20% discount from special care) its only about $30! I have a 7 year old cat and a 13 year old cat, and both are special needs, so the unlimited office visits is a massive plus! I also love that the blood work is done in 30 minutes. I'm used to waiting 3 days. I'm very happy with my decision to switch!
