A Hidden Gem: Wolf Creek Falls Preserve Wolf Creek Falls Preserve is one of those hidden little gems you’re always hoping to find. It isn’t the longest or the most challenging trail out there, but what it lacks in length, it more than makes up for in charm and character. The trail winds through a peaceful forest, with the gentle sound of cascading water accompanying you nearly the whole way. Several small waterfalls and cascades line the creek, creating plenty of spots to pause and take in the scenery. One of my favorite touches is the beautiful stone wall that runs alongside part of the path — it adds a surprising and almost storybook-like feel to the walk. My lady and I brought the dogs and spent a lovely afternoon exploring at a leisurely pace. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and just enjoy being outside together. If you’re looking for a quiet, picturesque spot to spend a couple of hours — especially with a furry friend or someone special — Wolf Creek Falls Preserve is well worth a visit.

Went in August…so no falls present due to lack of rainfall. Easily traversable on foot with dogs. Dogs enjoyed the water aspect.

Took the full loop and saw the beautiful waterfalls. Alittle confusing with the different colored trails but very well marked. #disabledhiker : easy to moderate. Paths with rocks & roots. One very steep hill by the waterfall but doable without a trekking pole

Fantastic hike with lots of connected looping trails. Stroll through the woods along, and sometimes through, ancient stone walls that line the well-marked paths. Majestic views of the babbling stream and waterfalls rushing over thick slabs of shale make this a great and relatively easy hike for the whole family.

There was a detour on the road to get to the parking lot so we had to drive 15 minutes out of the way to get there. We past the Christmanns Bird Sanctuary parking on the way and the parking lot was beyond capacity. The falls at Wolf Creek are not spectacular (we went the day after a huge rain storm) but the forest bathing is still supreme. There are crawfish-like creatures in the water along with plenty of frogs. It was a nice warm day hike because it is heavily wooded. The trails are mostly loops so you shouldn't have trouble navigating.
