(from Google)Awesome fun hike to spot many different animals. We did the short alligator alley loop (partially shaded) and it took us about an hour tops. Saw gators, grasshoppers, turtles, raccoons and many birds.
Amazing place to hike!! There is so much wildlife here... Rabbits, turtles, snakes, birds, raccoons, butterflies, dragonflies, insects, alligators, and more. You're pretty much guaranteed to see something interesting. I've heard that there are bobcats here, but I have yet to see one! Can't wait for my next visit!!
Do not miss this!!! My husband and I had an excellent time exploring Circle B Bar Reserve. We ended up walking over 4 miles and covered four different trails, and every minute of it was worth it. If you’re limited on time, you absolutely cannot miss the Alligator Alley Trail and the Eagle Roost Trail. We saw so much wildlife including alligators, a bald eagle, turtles, water snakes, and even a raccoon. Honestly, we saw so much out there we may have even seen Sasquatch. A few tips: go early because it gets very hot. Bring plenty of cold water, and stop by the visitor center before you start your hike to grab a map and check recent wildlife sightings. If you have access to a bike, that would be a really fun way to explore the trails as well. And one last suggestion: bring a cooler with a cold beer waiting in the car for when you finish your trek. After a few miles out there, it tastes amazing.
We’ve visited Florida — and the wider US — extensively over the years, and Circle B Bar Reserve might just be the very best nature reserve in Florida for wildlife spotting. The variety and proximity of wildlife here is simply outstanding. On a single visit we saw multiple alligators (including some very large ones), herons, egrets, cormorants, turtles, countless fish breaking the surface, vultures circling overhead, and even ospreys fishing. The density of wildlife is remarkable — you don’t have to search hard; nature is everywhere you look. The trails are well maintained and easy to walk, with plenty of open views across the wetlands. It feels wild and authentic rather than overly commercialised, which makes the experience even better. It’s also incredibly peaceful despite being such a hotspot for wildlife. If you’re anywhere near Lakeland, this is an absolute must-visit. We would rank it right at the top for accessible, diverse, and memorable wildlife experiences in Florida. Highly recommended.
Wow! Amazing park and trails that offer a ton of wildlife variety. Very well maintained and easy to navigate. Lots of parking. Bathrooms on site and you can even wash your hands. The nature was stunning. It felt like being in a Disney park! We say all sorts of birds. Alligators. Raccoons. Turtles! Big time recommend this serene nature reserve! 🐊🦝🐢🦅
