(from Google)A real green oasis for relaxation! It’s easy to find a balance between nature and the city here: well-groomed alleys, spacious lawns for picnics, silence. Amazing unity of nature and landscape design.
Great open nature area for you and your pups. Lots of trail options along the river. Despite the parking lot being full, hardly ran in to anyone else.

Many friendly dogs Lots of diverging trails A few mosquitoes Lots of great river access points Lots of benches Abundant cottonwoods and willows Very minimal litter
Norms Island features a fantastic 2 mile trek along the Yellowstone River. It's a great place for the family and their dogs to get out and spend some quality time together. There are a couple of areas with slower running back water for dogs to take a dip. Oh and bring bug spray in the hotter months because the mosquitos can get thick. The fresh air and the scenery is great!!
