The people are great. They're always knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They make it what it is. And they should be paid more for the work they do. According to the MIT Living Wage Calculator (look it up), a living wage in Richmond for a single person with no kids is $23.30 an hour. Petco starts employees at $13 to $14 dollars an hour. Associates can make almost $19 dollars an hour. Still below a living wage. So please, do the right thing and start your employees at $20 dollars an hour, and provide avenues to increase this to a living wage asap. It's the right thing do. Time to give your employees a five star wage.

I was back at Petco for a grooming appointment for my 7 month old pup. Once again it was such a nice experience. Salem was the groomer and he could not have been more accommodating. He handled my puppy with ease, did a great job in a timely manner and even chatted with me about my dog afterward. Also my dog really liked him and I trust her judgement!

We got a rescue guinea pig here a month ago and he has immediately fit right in, they were very knowledgeable and helpful too, since I should comment on the store too.

My big boy is so nervous when we go to any groomer and the workers here take their time to work with him and are patient with him which I appreciate more than they'll know! I know it sounds cheesy, but he's my baby, so when others treat him as their own I know it's the right place for us. I was skeptical bc it's a big store in every town, but I'm so grateful I gave them a chance! They're amazing with both of our dogs and one is a barker. It doesn't seem to even bother them lol If you're looking for a groomer that doesn't take weeks to get into and they treat your puppers with love, this is your place! 10/10 would recommend and we'll continue returning to this establishment!

The staff here made my puppies first haircut and store venture and wonderfully pleasant one! The grooming group is beyond professional, knowledge and kind. I will Never take my baby anywhere other than here! Thank you Jessica for an outstanding job and care you provided and all those who interacted with my little Hope. The results of this trip are more than I could have wished for and expected!!! You all deserve special recognition. My gratitude is overflowing for this store.
