Perfect place for a walk and with amazing views everywhere On this post I’m placing the view of “El vigia” one of the shortest routes, only an hour walk and ends there perfect for a chill stroll

No words, except, one of a kind experience. It is hot out there, don't forget your water.

The label in the center of the map at the end of road 334 (which is overly uphill and relatively narrow but paved) is the parking lot where several hikes start from and there is a manned ranger station. He suggested Granados to Lluveras as one shorter trail fitting our time frame that would be through the characteristic forest vegetation of this area. Another option was to drive back down, take 333 and either park at the signs for Playa Jaboncillo (cut off in bottom left of map) and take a longer trail to Fuerte Caprón for the views. We ended up taking his third suggestion of driving to the end of 333 to Playa Tamarindo and then walking the boardwalk and beyond, which is an area that you can see cacti along the beach. The path is along the water with outlets to the water among the trees.

There is a ranger station at the end of the road along with a parking lot. Very friendly ranger and they have you jot down your trek and ensure you have water before you head off. Nice and well stocked bathrooms for a public facility. My hike was the shortest route, and a bit lackluster but helped stretch my legs as I broke up a long drive. I image longer treks are more rewarding.

Unfortunately the hurricane destroyed a lot of the area as well as a part of the road to get there. The parking is a little further so it's a nice walk through the area to see all the beautiful places. Went there for the sunset which was really good and nice to see. There were only a few others. Roads towards the parking are good and the local people are nice as well.
