(from Google)Delicious food and drinks. The Spanish Gin and Tónic was perfect on a hot day. Order off the special menu. You won't be sorry! The atmosphere is perfect for an outdoor café experience.
Champi is the Tapas restaurant - next door is El Rincon de Vino wine bar. If you like wine and tapas…this is your place! It’s in this perfectly patinated, secluded indoor/outdoor courtyard - trees and hanging vines, cool, shaded, peaceful. The proprietor Rafael is a sweet and attentive character with lots of wine knowledge. My favorite place in Old San Juan :)
Beautiful little tapas place we stumbled upon .. we tried the chorizo which was excellent.. also had the anchovies, mushrooms, manchego plate and the croquettes all were plentiful and tasty. Beautiful setting we sat outside the tables are on an angle so it could get slippery on your table
The food was very good, with fair prices and generous portions. The patatas bravas were spicy, but in a good way and exactly what you’d expect. The boquerones were like butter, absolutely delicious. We ordered the mixed croquettes and they were excellent, especially the Manchego one, which was amazing. We didn’t order the paella, but it was already sold out, which says a lot. Service was a bit slow, mainly because there were only two waiters working on January 1st. That said, they were clearly doing their best and stayed friendly and professional despite being very busy. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend this place.
Stunning. The patatas bravas were stunning. The flavours were pure and the spuds were crispy. We were delighted to find this little treasure! They worked kindly and quickly with allergies. We can’t wait to go back!
