(from Google)It's a nice trail. The scenery is a tad on the sad side. The trees are all dying and there is little to no wildlife left. However, the trail is long and the decking in great shape. Nice for a long walk or bike ride. Fun fact: there is parking on one side of the road here and people try to cross the busy road - you don't need to do that, there is a tunnel under it.
This is a nice trail. It's super long, so there's lots of different activities you can do. For us, this is our second time here. We start from Green Level Rd and park at the school. There is also a spot to park just off the side of the road. The first time we came here, we walked to the Tobacco Trail. That was a long walk, but it was nice to get some groove time with my kids. Today, we walked in the opposite direction. The trail itself is a paved sidewalk as well as a wooden bridge. It's mostly flat so it's easy to walk, run, or bike on. The scenery is very nice. You can watch the jets fly overhead and enjoy the woods surrounding you. We had a great time and will be back soon!
Love this Greenway for access to Cary and the American Tobacco Trail. Pro tip: there's an amazing beer and wine shop just off the trail. Great way to end your run/bike!
If you haven't been here yet - you should try to make the time and check this stretch out! Our corner of the US is awesome about greenways and this greenway is awesome among them. There's something for everyone to see. We typically ride bikes between our community cluster and the American Tobacco Trail through here. But many places along the way are fine enough to just stop and absorb. I hope your trip here will leave a memory!
The Greenway is beautiful, but can also be crowded. There are many cyclists, some riding too fast, which creates dangers, especially for families with small kids. I guess it's also not pleasant for the cyclists who have to constantly shout 'On your left '.
