(from Google)Why is this not open? This is one of the coolest dog parks I've been to in 8 years if owning my dog. The forest area is awesome. There seems to be lots of nice grass and different terrain. The benches are in good shape and there's even a baseball field next-door. BUT can someone explain to me why in Utah they shut dog parks down randomly? I would love to know because dogs don't stop needing excercise or friends in the winter. The MAJORITY that come here are already cooped up inside for too long in apartments. This is about the fourth dog park I have seen this happened to over the last year. It makes no sense at least put up a sign directing to another dog park or giving an explanation and that would at least prevent people from being pissed off.
We love this dog park! Only one entrance which I prefer, and very secure fencing suitable for any size of dog. I wish they would bring back the picnic tables for when I bring my coffee, but for my dog it's a 10/10
Great large dog park Single fenced space with big open field, wooded exploration area - all fenced. Grass, mulch, dirt. Plenty of shade. (The city has "pets must be leashed at all times" signs all over the fenced-in dog area - not sure what that's about?)
Best dog park in the area. Completely fenced in with a double gated entry to keep all the doggos from getting out or in your business on the way in. The location is quite large, with a wooded area, woodchips, grass and concrete as well. Our lab is able to go on sprinting bouts with his buds and not even cover half of it. Its very CLEAN, with dog doo bags available and a trash can to help clean up after duty calls. Benches for dog parents to relax on and a good group of frequent attendees to keep company!
Dog Park was wonderful years ago. A great idea for South Ogden. Admins of South Ogden seem to hate the park and neglect it altogether. Google the park and see it's dried out uncared for look from the air, for yourself, of go there and compare it to the lovely lawn at the Crown Heights park adjoining it.
