Doggie District - Mesa

I recently took my dog Madison to Doggie District Pet Resort for her first grooming appointment with them. While the grooming itself was satisfactory, I was disappointed by the level of customer service I experienced. 1. I arrived at the scheduled time of 8 a.m. and was instructed to return at 11 a.m. to pick Madison up, with the understanding that I would not receive a call when she was finished unless they completed early. 2. When I returned at 11 a.m., I was told that Madison was not yet ready and was asked to come back in thirty minutes. This was particularly inconvenient as I had taken time off from work to accommodate the pick-up. 3. Upon returning a second time and paying for the service, I was initially overcharged by $19. After pointing out the discrepancy, the charge was corrected. 4. After payment, I waited an additional ten minutes before the groomer came out and told me he had forgotten to groom Madison’s tail and needed more time to complete the job. Overall, I believe Doggie District Pet Resort missed an important opportunity to provide respectful and timely communication. A simple courtesy call informing me that they were running behind would have made a significant difference. Additionally, accurate billing and attention to detail are fundamental expectations. I hope this feedback encourages Doggie District to improve their customer service, as first impressions are crucial.

After researching and visiting several dog day care businesses in the East Valley, it was a no-brainer to select Doggie District - Mesa, easily our top choice. We took a tour of the business and found it to be clean (inside and out), free of odor (urine, feces, etc) and well-managed. The staff have been extremely helpful, answering questions, providing feedback on how our pup (now an 8 month old Great Pyrenees) integrates with the other dogs, etc. The staff has taken the time to ensure our pup is not overwhelmed, initially placing her with one or two other dogs her size and demeanor. Isaiah is a wonderful groomer and very meticulous. We took our pup once to him so far for a bath, brush, trim and blow-dry and were very pleased with the end results!!

Isaiah is the BEST GROOMER EVER!! My dog Lou is a 120lb male Great Pyrenees who is fearful, doesn’t like strangers (or baths), and is reactive to other dogs. I haven’t been able to get him properly groomed since we got him from the shelter and he had some really bad matting that I couldn’t brush out. Doggie District let Lou do a meet-and-greet where he just hung out with Isaiah and Jacqueline to get more comfortable with them and the space. When they felt he was ready, they scheduled time for him to come in without other dogs in the groom room and Isaiah groomed him yesterday. Lou looks AMAZING!! ❤️ I was afraid he would lose his beautiful double coat, but Isaiah got all the mats out without shaving him and gave him a fresh scissor cut. He looks like a giant puffy marshmallow now - so soft and white and no shedding. We are so grateful and will be back in 8 weeks. THANK YOU ISAIAH AND DOGGIE DISTRICT 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Emily and Isaiah did an AMAZING job with my Great Pyrenees! Look at the before and after photos. She has a really thick, dense coat, and they really took the time to do the job right and get all the floof out and trimmed up. She is a whole different dog! THANK YOU EMILY AND ISAIAH!

My pup, Ruger, loves Doggie District! They are great! He needed a little training and socialization help before he could be released into general day care, but the trainer, Toryan, worked with him and got him ready! The staff is fabulous! They come up with very good activities for the pups. They really make it a fun place to be. And as a dog mom, I love the extra effort they put forth to make them stand out. I got paw print flower paintings, doggie name badge Keychain, a little bday party picture and party gift bag. You pay a little extra for these, but the fee is minimal so I am happy to pay it. The fees for day care are reasonable as well. My dog doesn't like being home during the day, he much prefers being there.. As does our other dog, she likes him to be there as well! She's older and likes her peace, he's 2 and not tired, ever! 😂 If you are looking for a great, safe, fun place for your pup, go to Doggie District! His smiles tell you everything you need to know! 10/10 recommend!
