Highly recommend Top Dog’s puppy head start program! My husband and I started as nervous first time puppy owners for our rescue, Kodiak. We don’t know much about where Kodi came from, but Mike and the rest of the Top Dog team have been incredible at helping us learn how to work with him. Kodi is always so excited when we drop him off and at times doesn’t want to leave. It’s hard to know who you can trust and you can tell how much Mike truly cares about the puppies, their future and their families! He is so patient and kind - always educating us on how to work on Kodi’s behavior, tips on training and prioritizing his safety. We have over 100 training videos of our pup and feel much more confident than we did when we first started. Our friends comment that Kodi is one of the best trained puppies they’ve met! We feel lucky to have found Mike, Michelle, Raina, Natalie, Lily and the rest of the Top Dog team. Thank you for everything!

We had an amazing experience with Top Dog SF! Our dog George started at just 12 weeks old in the Puppy HeadStart program, and it was the best decision we could have made. Mike taught him so many great commands like sit, down, spin, come, drop, and more. George also learned how to walk properly on a leash and became much more responsive and confident with commands. Mike also sent daily training videos, which were incredibly helpful and allowed us to practice and repeat the training at home. Mike is an excellent trainer — patient, knowledgeable, and always happy to answer questions and help with anything we needed. After that, George moved into the Small Dog PlayCare, where he continued to build his social skills with other dogs. Michelle and Mike were wonderful in helping him grow into a well-mannered, happy dog. Natalie, the owner, is also an absolute pleasure to work with — professional, kind, and truly caring. A huge thank you to Natalie, Mike, Michelle, and the entire staff for taking such great care of George. We truly appreciate everything you’ve done. I highly recommend Top Dog SF to anyone who wants a well-behaved dog and a place where their dog can enjoy great training and lots of socialization!

We love Top Dog SF and the trainers that work there, giving love- education and fun to our cutie puppy Piper. Admittedly we have had different experiences with other groups, so this is an educated review. I could not say enough great things about Mike, Raina, and Michelle. Piper is excited every morning she goes to see her friends and is happily tired at the end of the day. I believe in general Portuguese Water Dogs are not easy, they have a lot of energy and Pipes is specifically a lot of puppy -a lot of dog. We have worked with them since October and making plans for the new year. The team at Top Dog SF are great communicators and share a lot of info including photos/videos about the progress of your dog allowing you to continue and re-enforce those techniques at home. I am excited to go back to work in the office knowing their team takes excellent care of Piper.

Top Dog SF is one-of-a-kind!!! We signed up our miniature Bernedoodle puppy, Poppy, for Puppy Headstart classes and couldn't have made a better decision. Mike is absolutely incredible - we has only our very best recommendation. He was so knowledgable, patient, and devoted. You can tell that he absolutely loves these puppies and only wants the very best for their training and development. Michelle and Raina were equally fabulous and contributed greatly to our pup's growth. Every day that we brought Poppy into Top Dog, she was so excited to see the crew. Not only did she love playing with the other pups, but she loved seeing Mike, Michelle, and Raina too! We received sooo many videos and lessons from Mike that allowed us to continue her training once Poppy graduated from Puppy Headstart. I cannot recommend Top Dog SF enough! Would 10/10 do it again. Worth every penny!

Top Dog changed our lives! We enrolled our puppy Donut in the Puppy Headstart program, and we could not be more blown away. They truly transformed him. As brand-new dog parents, we had no idea where to start, and Mike not only trained Donut every day, but also coached us on how to reinforce training at-home. The daily training videos they sent were incredibly helpful and made it easy to repeat everything on our own. Donut is now more confident, relaxed, and well-mannered - we're honestly so impressed and so proud of how far he's come. And the best part? He LOVES going to school. He happily trots through the door every day, which tells us everything we need to know about how well he's cared for. The whole staff has been nothing short of amazing: so patient, kind, and truly invested in every dog. Donut was especially loved by Mike, Michelle, and Raina, and we're so grateful for each of them. Natalie, the owner, is also an absolute pleasure to work with and runs a fantastic program. Yes, this program is an investment, but it is worth every penny! We could not recommend Top Dog SF more. If you're on the fence, do it. Your dog (and you!) will be better for it.
