(from Google)I have been bringing my dog Zara ( 11lb shitzu mix) to Millersport small animal clinic for couple of years now. First thing to mention is that all the staff is always very amazing and caring! Zara has a lot of allergies and on top of it she developed issues with her anal glands. She began to relieve her anal glands every couple of weeks, and if anyone knows about that, the smell is worth than a skunk. We had to go every 2-3 weeks to get them expressed. At the beginning we saw Dr Malo, who is wonderful!!!! He is honest, calm, very comforting and never ever recommends a procedure that he feels is not necessary. You can tell how much he loves all of the animals and that this job is so much more than just money for him. After a while I had to switch days I could bring Zara due to my work schedule, that resulted in having to see a different doctor. Now, I am not sure if it was a coincidence or not, but from that point everything changed, all of a sudden Zara developed infection in her glands and for 6 months we had to go every week, they tried various antibiotics, procedures , etc. bottom line is, every visit became more and more expensive, every week I had to pay between $200-$300 and every time they took her away to check her glands the answer was the same, still infected, let’s do a procedure and come back in a week. On the last visit it was a very busy day, we waited for the doctor for a long time, and after they took her away, tech came back and said that the only other option is surgery to remove her glands, and that was it, no explanation, no discussion, not even the doctor, just a tech. I love my dog, she is a family member, and even though I have been struggling financially just like most people this days, I scheduled $2000 surgery without hesitation because I believed it was the only option. Surgery was scheduled for 2 months with Dr Malo. And than very weird thing happened while we were waiting for 2 months without any visits Zara not once relieved her glands, 2 months of no meds, no expressions, and no issues. On the morning of the surgery I asked Dr Malo to please che it ck before we put her through very painful procedure. I was a mess, just the thought of leaving my baby alone in a clinic to get cut up was sending me in downward spiral. I didn’t think much of it because I honestly thought that no vet would ever cancel already scheduled $2000 surgery. But not Dr Malo, I didn’t even get a chance to drive far, I received a call from him saying that there is no infection, no issues, and unless I insist, he doesn’t think surgery is necessary. I cried, I literally cried, partly because I could take my baby home in one piece and partly because I overwhelmingly realized that even in the cruel world we live in today there are still few amazing, honest people who actually care about more than money. Bottom line is, Millersport Small Animal clinic is an amazing place with wonderful caring staff as long as you see doctor that actually cares about well being of your animal. Thank you Dr Malo for always being available even as an emergency, for always being honest, caring, and comforting. And thank you to all the staff for being amazing and caring always!!!!
MillerSport Small Animal Clinic is absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, the staff is welcoming, patient, and genuinely caring. You can tell they truly love what they do and treat every animal like their own. The level of care, communication, and attention to detail is outstanding. Caylie deserves a special shoutout — she is incredible. Kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate, she goes above and beyond to make both pets and owners feel comfortable and confident. She takes the time to explain everything clearly and never makes you feel rushed. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with such genuine care. They are lucky to have someone like her. I couldn’t recommend this clinic enough. If you’re looking for a place that truly prioritizes your pet’s health and well-being, this is it.
Millersport animal clinic has treated us along with our dog Great!! I’m sorry that we have to go through this with changing, but because of our age and distance ( due to the winter weather) it is the reason. . We will miss them.
I can't imagine going to any other veterinary clinic. Everyone is so sweet and passionate about their role and you can really feel how close knit everyone is. The doctors and techs are so sweet and knowledgeable. And of course, I can't forget the front desk and assistants who are the backbone of any clinic. The front desk is always friendly and helpful and you can really tell the amount of pride the assistants have in their work. You all are simply the best! 💕
I’ve been bringing my Bernese mountain dog to MSAC for the last 2.5 years and have been very happy with my experience. Dr Waite always takes time to make sure I understand what’s going on with my dog’s health, never rushes us, and treats her like she’s her own. You can really tell she loves what she does and genuinely cares. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my dog is in such good hands every time we visit. We have also seen Dr Malo and have had a positive experience as well. Thankful I was referred to this office by so many of my own clients!
