The Bluegrass Lounge - Candelas

We really like Bluegrass Coffee & Bourbon Lounge and have had some great experiences here. The food is usually good, and several of the servers and bartenders have been awesome. Unfortunately, the last two times we visited, Bruce F was our waiter, and both experiences were very disappointing. He tends to disappear for long stretches. During our most recent visit, we could clearly see our pizzas sitting in the window for about 12 minutes before he went back to pick them up. Meanwhile, he was standing off to the side talking to another table for an extended period of time. The restaurant was not busy, so it was frustrating to watch our food sit there. He walked past the pizzas at least twice, and didn't go to get them until my husband got up and walked up to the bar to indicate that the pizzas were sitting there. By the time we received it, it was lukewarm. It is disappointing because we know this place can deliver a great experience. We have had excellent service from other staff members. If we return and Bruce is our server again, we will leave. The experience simply is not worth the money or the time when the service is that inattentive. We hope management takes this feedback seriously because we truly do enjoy this restaurant and want it to be consistently great.

Stopped here on a Saturday for lunch after being denied service at lot one just down the road. I utilize a medical alert service dog and the staff here was more than accommodating. Thank you for that.😍 I had the artichoke dip with veggies and hubby had the French dip with chips. The restaurant was not overly crowded, we are new to the candelas area so this restaurant will go on rotation. Thank you Bruce for the extra mile between my service dog and my broken husband on crutches lol

After checking the online photos and reviews, I headed over to this location. I was disappointed to find maybe ten televisions on the walls. I tried to find a corner from which I didn’t have to see a screen, but even the most hidden corner still showed four large screen TVs, all showing different channels. I realize this is a personal preference, but if you’re looking for a place where you can share a meal without screens and focus on the people you are with, this is not it. The food and service were great.

Think about this. You're parched and could eat a cow. You Google a restaurant close to your area. We get there, it's in the middle of country. Atmosphere is very welcoming. Staff were friendly and knew their menu well. Food was very great! The cocktails and drinks from the bar let me tell you, the bartenders know craftsmanship. We will definitely come back whenever we are mountain high.

Sweet taste of My Old Kentucky Home. Stopped by for lunch. No time to sample the Bourbon, beer or cocktail selection. Decently priced. Got an iced tea and sandwich combo. Skipped the coffee but they had a great selection of hot and iced drinks. Will come back for more spirited adventures.
