(from Google)Our first time going to the dog park was a good experience. The dogs and their owners were welcoming. Will return
Great dog park with good facilities and comfortable seating with Ramadas for shade. Well-mannered dogs and mindful humans. Lovely location at White Rock Lake, with easy access to the pedestrian bridge. Parking is convenient, plentiful, and very close to the enclosures.
White Rock Lake is am awesome green space in the city. That being said, the water is...dirty, and the dog park is a lot... These shots are from the only time we let our pup get in. I love the concept of the dog park, and the gating is amazing-- as well as having much in terms of built in fun for dogs. But the facility is sadly often filled with folks who do not have control of their dogs, and yet they still keep them off lease. I took a legit biting when someone’s big girl was going after a little guy...one of their humans was distracted and the other thought they were playing. The little guy was taken to an emergency vet. 😔
You are better off saving your gas and time by staying home than coming here. My boyfriend drove 30 minutes to this park, because the photos showed it to be a clean nice place for our dogs. He showed up and sent these photos to me. He left after 5 minutes; not only due to the water being disgusting, there was no shade for the dogs and him at all. We will be looking for cleaner better park in the city. We suggest you do that too yall!
Went here with a friend and was able to have a great time. Was cloudy and windy for our stop but the park is well maintained and there is plenty of room for all. The back landing to the water allows for the dogs to cool down during the hotter months and having a small and large dog area separated was helpful for most owners based on the experience. Cheers
