Blue Sky Kennels

I boarded my dog here for 9 nights. In those 9 nights she lost 10% of her body weight (5.5 pounds). She had diarrhea when I picked her up and they didn’t tell me about it. I asked when she started immediately having diarrhea in the courtyard, and they said it just started that morning. Additionally she had an ear infection. She was at the vet in February and was just fine at 53.5 pounds with no issues and she’s 14 months old. When I called them later that day and asked exactly what happened they told me she had stopped eating her food and was not leaving behind a “concerning amount”… despite her losing 5.5 pounds, right. As someone who has worked in kennels I am shocked at the level of dismissiveness and carelessness. If a dog stops eating you need to let the owner know and offer ways to entice the dog to eat. I will never recommend this place to anyone because despite clean facilities and friendly staff my dog came home in horrible condition. They recommended me to take her to the vet because of her diarrhea, thanks for the tip! Pics provided: 1st photo you can vividly see her ribs and the last photo is her before I left. She is a healthy hound dog which means she is very lean and according to my vet, in healthy condition before I left her.

We’ve lived all over the United States, and this is hands down the best kennel we’ve ever used. It’s well thought out, organized, and impeccably clean, with an incredible staff. I’ve almost hesitated to write this review because I don’t want them to get so busy that we can’t get our sweet pup in—but great places deserve to be recognized. Wonderful people all around. Bubblegum is thankful for them and his parents are too.

Absolutely the best boarding I have used in Lubbock, and I’ve used a lot. They take such good care of my dogs and I never have to worry. The pups are excited when we pull up and never upset/anxious when I pick them up. Every employee I’ve dealt with is professional and kind. Phenomenal pricing as well. Highly recommend!

We have a large and anxious dog and Benji does really well here. We have had nightmare experiences elsewhere but these folks are kind and patient. Big yards with beautiful grass...we will keep boarding him here.

It's a clean and well organized place to take your dog. Staff is friendly and they take good care of our furry friends. If my dog could count he would give it five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I will definitely use them again.
