East Beach

Nice beach but the mosquitoes are thick down here.

Great beach overall, the water is pretty calm and clean. I feel pretty safe coming here with my toddler and we enjoy staying here for a few hours making sand castles and relaxing. The parking fee is 15 dollars and having I see plenty of non 4x4 cars making it, just don't be dumb in the sand. There's always a stuck car/SUV/Truck on the non-free side in the sand so be careful there.

I’m only giving it 4 stars cause the path from the car park to the beach could be better maintained on the sides. We had a great time! It was clean and not to crowded. It was definitely worth the visit! We will definitely be returning.

It's probably one of the cleanest beach in Galveston. There were few people around and we enjoyed the water. The weather was chilly so we couldn't go deep into the water (because the water was cold). But after visiting the Galveston beach, we were glad that we went to the east beach since the Galveston beach isn't that clean.

Loved this beach! The sand was soft and not too many shells or seaweed to walk over. The kids loved jumping waves and building a nice sand castle. It was also pretty empty and we could park right up on the beach free of charge! Will definitely return here next time!
