Burgerology Stony Brook

I went here for lunch on a Saturday. No wait. I ordered a grilled chicken build your own. The chicken was awful. It was totally dried out and was like rubber, and had absolutely no flavor. the coleslaw tasted like vinegar. This was probably the worst food I have had in a long time. I will never eat here again. Think about getting a chef who actually knows how too cook....

on Friday, january 29th my family and i went to Burgerology in Stony Brook. while we were able to get a table quickly, the experience was a complete disaster from there on. My wife and i ordered the boneless chicken wing app’s. When my wife went to eat her second wing, she found a single, long black curly hair wrapped around it. the waitress (Theresa) took the chicken (and single hair) to the back kitchen area. we expected a new order of wings. We never received them. It took close to half an hour for our meals to come out. The waitress and manager never once asked us about the order of “hairy wings”. Once the food finally arrived (i ordered and cheeseburger-my wife ordered the turkey burger), it was poor quality to say the least. Both had zero flavor and the turkey burger was dried out like a hockey puck. No one asked us if our food was good or if we needed anything. Some time later, we finally received our first desert, a milkshake. About 30 minutes after that, we received the donut holes. When we finally recieved our bill, we noticed that we were charged for the hairy wings they took away and didn’t replace. When the manager finally came over to discuss the bill with us, he said that “no body in the back kitchen has long black hair”. we wouldnt be compensated for the wings they took away (because there was a long black hair in it.) his statement was “we determined the hair was a long red one” essentially putting the blame on anyone but his staff. The manager displayed ZERO accountability and no professionalism at all. I have never once been this disappointed at a restaurant experience. Everything from the long wait to recieve our meals, to the awful flavor of the food and especially, the unsanitary conditions the restaurant refuses to account for. I am also filing a complaint to the department of health over the “hairy wings” that we were NEVER compensated for.

This establishment is AWFUL. Service was slow, atmosphere was boring. Food took FOREVER to come out. Our boneless wing appetizers had a long, single, black curly hair wrapoed around a wing. Our waitress took the hair and order of wings to the kitchen area but never returned with a new order. The burger had ZERO flavor. I've had better burgers in elementary school cafeterias. Then, when we recieved the check, we were charged for those "hairy" wings they took away. We asked for compensation for those wings. But, the manager refused and said "no one working in back had black hair". Almost like he was blamimg us. He had NO accountability. To be as polite as possible, i wouldnt eat at this restaraunt for free. I give it ZERO stars.

We used to go to the Bench, for 25yrs. The owners there made us seem like an inconvenience. The ppl at Burgerology were HAPPY to have us! We go every yr. There are @ 40 of us. One of our surgeons kindly hosts everyone. (He is the BEST! Shout out doc of youre reading) My only complaint is the MUSIC! It was horrible. It was dance music. You have a bunch of ortho surgeons, and Radiology ppl. NONE of them dance. READ THE ROOM GUYS! I would have give the atmosphere 4 stars. Except for the music. All in all it was a great nite! Excellent food, and attentive staff!

I give Food only 2 stars because the loaded fries were good but the burgers were terrible my mac burger and my son's were dry no flavor i asked for medium was like hockey puck both of them my wife got the turkey burger over cooked and also no flavor very disappointed for first time customer only thing staff very friendly and service was good
