K9 Functional Training

Words can’t express how grateful we are for K9 Functional Training. Jason was incredible from start to finish. After a previous experience with another trainer left us discouraged, Jason restored our confidence and gave us hope again. He stayed in constant communication every day, which was a huge deal for us and showed how invested he truly is. We can finally live comfortably again knowing we have control of our dog, not the other way around. Jason delivered on every promise, and we will be recommending him to everyone we know. When we get another dog, K9 Functional Training will be our first stop. If you’re on the fence about choosing a trainer, don’t hesitate you’ll be in the best hands.

We are so happy we decided to entrust Jason with the training of our boy Tig. He is a Pittie who we rescued from the shelter in September. We wanted to set him up and our life with him for success. We did the 2 week board and train. Jason sent video updates daily and explained in detail what they were working on. It was so encouraging to see his progress and also how well he was being loved and cared for. Jason is an exceptional trainer and he has a true love and understanding of dogs. Highly recommend!

Before taking our golden doodle Sadie to Jason, she was a complete spazz. Hyper to the point of chaos, tearing through the house, and almost impossible to calm down. Walks were a mess, and having her inside felt like we were constantly bracing for the next burst of wild energy. After Jason’s boarding and training program, she came home a completely different dog — in all the right ways. She’s perfect on walks now, stays right at our side, and can do it off leash without any issues. Jason was able to channel her high drive in a way we didn’t think was even possible. One of the biggest game changers he taught her — and us — is the place command. We can tell her “place,” and she’ll go to her cot and stay parked there until we release her. That alone has let us get chores done, get the kids ready, and actually move around the house without her spinning up into a frenzy. Jason also kept us updated every step of the way with videos and photos, which made the whole process even better. Sadie now listens instantly, loves being praised, and is genuinely enjoyable to have around. Jason didn’t just train our dog — he taught us how to handle her the right way. We can’t thank Jason and K9 Functional Training enough for bringing us back “Sadie 2.0.” As Jason would say… she’s a rockstar now. Highly recommend.

What a great experience! We sent out 7 month old English Bulldog puppy to work with Jason and we are thrilled. He was a nightmare to walk prior and came home a completely changed dog! He no longer pulls and refuses to walk. He is not jumping and is so much more relaxed. Jason was fabulous at sending daily videos explaining what he was working on with our pup. He spent a lot of time training us to continue working with him at home. Jason continues to check in and answer any questions we have. He truly cares about what he does and it shows. Totally worth every penny! Including a pictue of our pup in my closet NO longer eating my shoes. 🙌😂

Jason did such an excellent job with Biscuit, our 2 year old Chiweenie. He sent videos daily showing us Biscuit’s accomplishments and explaining as they went, which taught us a lot during the training period. We just got him home today, Jason spent a couple hours with us going over everything plus we walked through Lowe’s together where we got hands on training as well. It was so plain to see during the 2 week training period how much they loved each other and how much admiration Biscuit had for Jason. We highly recommend Jason to anyone seeking confidence, good manners and building an even stronger bond with their dog.
