(from Google)This was the first time we have boarded our dog Harley since our other dog passed away. We were nervous and had less than stellar experiences at other boarding facilities. When walking into Bay Paws, we were impressed by the cleanliness and lack of dog urine smell that other locations have. The process to board Harley was quick and painless (signing her up, checking her in and checking my her out) but most importantly, we felt that Harley was in great hands. Harley stayed for one week and Bay Paws texted me and sent photos every day. I can not recommend this place enough and will be boarding her again in a few weeks.
I am very disappointed with my experience at Bay Paws Pet Daycare. I brought my 6-month-old puppy for daycare, expecting him to be supervised, socialized, and cared for throughout the day. Instead, he spent a significant portion of the day locked in a crate for what I was told was “mounting” behavior. What was frustrating is that I observed many other dogs engaging in similar behavior, yet my puppy was the one isolated. When I called to check on him after watching the cameras, he had been crated for over an hour, staff informed me that they had intended to call and ask me to pick him up, but due to a miscommunication, no one ever contacted me. At that point, they also claimed he had been snapping at other dogs. This was surprising, as he lives with another dog at home, is regularly around other dogs, and has never displayed behavioral issues or aggression. What concerned me most was the condition he was in when I picked him up. He appeared extremely stressed, immediately drank three full bowls of water when we got home, and smelled strongly of urine. As a pet owner, it was upsetting to see him in that state after spending the day at a facility that is supposed to be caring for him. Another major concern was an interaction I observed on video involving a staff member and my puppy. From what I saw, the staff member struck or swatted my dog twice in a way that caused him to jump back. When I brought this to the manager’s attention, I was told that the employee had only touched him with two fingers. However, after watching the video myself, I do not believe that description accurately reflected what occurred. The response to my concern left me feeling dismissed rather than reassured. I understand that puppies require guidance and supervision, and I appreciate that daycare staff must maintain a safe environment. However, I expected better communication, better care, and a more proactive approach to managing normal puppy behavior. Had I not called myself, I may never have known that my puppy had been confined for such a long period of time. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not feel confident returning or recommending this daycare.
What can I say?! The BEST experience so far with a newly adopted dog .Dr. Nobuki was awesome. The staff were great. Easy, fast, convenient. My dog was totally chill before and after shots . No stress !
Pepper had the BEST day at Bay Paws Pet Resort – Wesley Chapel! 🐾 This was her temperament evaluation day, and we were so impressed. It was a complimentary visit, and they kept her for the full day on a Saturday, which was such a nice bonus. It took her a minute to figure things out (new friends can be a lot!), but once she did, she was off playing and having so much fun. We also really appreciated that they take the time to temperament test the dogs—it gives us extra peace of mind knowing they’re thoughtful about group play. We loved being able to peek in on her throughout the day on the cameras—such a great feature! She came home one happy, tired pup and is now enjoying a well-earned snooze. 😊 The staff was so kind, the facility looked clean and well cared for, and the pricing felt very reasonable. We’ll definitely be back—Pepper already can’t wait! 🐶💕
My fur baby, Peaches absolutely loves going to doggy daycare! The crew of Bay Paws Wesley Chapel treat all the babies with love & care! I never need to worry about Peaches when I am at work. She comes home so tired she holds her head up but can’t keep her eye lids open! I wish I was able to take her each day while I go to work however I would need to get another job to pay for the additional days. I even take her on Sunday funday as it is a bit more affordable, she misses the people and her furry friends! I do drive 20-25 minutes out of my way one-way because I know she will not only have a great time, get all her energy out, see her friends, the most important is she is loved & safe!
