(from Google)Doby LOVES going there! He always comes home nice and clean with his nails trimmed. Thank you Shampoodle for taking such good care of him.
Zack is absolutely wonderful! He was so easy to get in contact with, and was able to get my dog in quickly. He was very fast and efficient. You can tell he has a lot of experience with animals and is very knowledgeable. My dog took to him so well which eased my anxiety of bringing her to a new groomer! She hates the blow dryer and he said she did amazing. her shedding has also decreased drastically since. I’ll only be going to Shampoodle moving forward!
HORRIBLE experience! 1st time there, i arrived with my 1 year old dog and immediately felt such an un-warming welcome. No greeting & the male groomer (far back) made a comment saying "We're gonna be here all day" (mind you, i booked this appointment a month in advance). I mentioned to the front desk women that my dog is anxious and cannot be around other dogs freely as he's very reactive. She understood & took my dog in a rush and told me "We'll text when he's ready" i got the text about 55 mins later. When i arrived the women who groomed my dog was "busy" and ignored me for 5 mins while having side conversation with the other staff (unrelated to work) super unprofessional! I saw my dog in a crate on the floor so i said "Hi, here to get my dog pls". She then opened the crate, releasing my dog without my permission, and my dog ran freely while she charged me for the groom (leaving him unattended). There was another BIG dog roaming around & my dog approached him & the other dog immediately began to chase my dog, scaring him. I watched this all happen and was very afraid! She then said "Omg, your (my) dog scared him...lol". ARE U KIDDING ME?! Especially after i JUST told her my dog cannot be free around other dogs? She also cut his tail (which i asked her not too) I then paid, tipped (i wish i didn't) and will NOT be returning! They are very unprofessional staff!
Typically I always have wonderful experiences with Shampoodle. I have brought my old dog there for grooming and although I live 30 minutes away now, when I got my new dog I knew I wanted to go right back to them for grooming. This last visit left me feeling very dissatisfied and questioning if I want to return. My dog’s grooming appointment was for 11:00 and we arrived right on time. I was told that he would be waiting for a bit as they still were finishing up the dog before him and that it would be about two hours. This was the first disappointment as in all my visits my dog has always been taken in right away - this is one of the reasons I loved Shampoodle. The second disappointment was getting a text at 11:55 that he was ready for pick up. I’m not sure how it went from an estimated two hours to being done in 55 minutes… or less since she was still working on the dog before him at 11:00. When I arrived I was told he jumped off the tub stairs and his declaw caught onto something and broke off. I was never told what the something was that he got it caught on and it makes me question why the area surrounding the stairs isn’t clear. The third disappointment was seeing that the cut wasn’t what I had asked for. I had specifically asked for his paws and arms to be cleaned tightly (and showed a picture from his last grooming at Shampoodle). Cheyenne did offer to take him back and fix it and that it would take about 10 minutes so I said yes. However, she was done in less than 5 minutes and upon getting home I noticed that his paws still look very messy (as seen in the photos taken just the next day.. last photo with the bandana on is from his previous grooming at Shampoodle that I had shown the employee). There are uneven cuts around his arms as well. Overall a very poor experience this time especially because I was willing to drive out of the way since I have always had 5 star experiences with Shampoodle… from their previous Clifton park location and the current Delmar location.
Today was my dog's first day!💜 Just moved from my apartment where I had a bathtub into a house with only a stand-alone shower. I made the decision to go to this very clean, organized facility & it was Easy! First come, first serve service. 5 rooms with little gates, they provided with a smock for the owner, Fresh towels & other necessities for properly washing your dog. Love that the temp & pressure of water were adjustable! My dog is VERY well behaved for bath time. It was easy getting her to walk up the ramp, into the tub where she could be "tied in." So she wouldn't jump out. 🤣 Shes been previously blow dryer trained. The blowers they use were powerful and helped release ALOT of excess fur. Love that! It was under 20 bucks, the staff was friendly & informative. I believe I found our new spot for "Doggie Spa Dayz!" 😊
