(from Google)I've only been here once when traveling through the town. Burger and fries were good. All food is cooked in "open kitchen" concept that lends to atmosphere. Would be great place fo a band.
Hard to explain restaurant/bar and that’s the point. Staples are a high end smash burger and duck fat fries. Had me at duck fat. Did the tasting menu. Salad: green & white asparagus, pickled almond(!), watercress, arugula, egg with a delicious vinaigrette. Prawns w/pickled ramp chimichurri. Black cod with an inventive beurre Blanc. Chocolate Pot de crème with smoked pistachios. Everything was spot on. Enthusiastic friendly staff. Fun environment. A great find. Must do even if it’s just a burger.
I visited The Space for a comedy night while visiting from out of town and checking out different local spots. It’s a casual venue with a relaxed, multipurpose setup. The space has its own vibe but isn’t especially unique or memorable. There’s a stage set up for performances, and seating includes tables, counter seating, and outdoor areas, making it flexible for different types of events. We attended a comedy night, which was decent overall. There was a good-sized crowd, and the atmosphere felt lively and busy. The sound quality was okay—even from the back, it was still easy enough to hear the performance, though not perfect. Service was fine—nothing standout, but generally smooth when ordering. We each had a pint of beer, which was around $9. The drink was standard and met expectations for a casual venue like this. Overall, it’s an okay spot if you’re there for an event or just want a casual drink and entertainment, but not necessarily a place I’d go out of my way to visit again.
I’m going to be talking about The Space for weeks to anyone that will listen. It was THAT good. The moment we walked in and got hit with the smell of what they’re cookin - we were sold. French onion dip app 10/10. Smash burgers (i got oklahoma and he got smashy) also 10/10. The crispy edges are unmatched… heaven sent. Finished off with the creme brûlée cheesecake, no surprise, it was a 10/10. The vibe is so dope. The staff is awesome and you can tell they actually WANT to be working here. Food is clearly made with top notch fresh ingredients. Cooked impeccably. The dishes are creative and I want to try every single one of them. 10000/10 experience. Can’t wait to be back.
We made the trip from Bloomington to celebrate a friend's birthday. The staff was fun, accommodating, and patient with our large group! We were a bit rowdy but our server, Liv didn't skip a beat. We had so many appetizers but the wings were a favorite. I also had the Porklahoma Burgersmash and farm salad. 😋 Everything was hot and delicious. Not a single complaint from our group. I appreciate their experimental menu and fun mocktails! I tried the Apple Tartini and found it pleasant. They also have NA wine. Can't wait to go back!
