My son takes archery classes here. Been going for years now. My wife and I go mid-mornings during the week to practice archery. They have the teaching range and also a practice range open to the public. No cost. Target hay bales only, recommend bringing your own paper targets. Distances start at 12 yards and go up to 45 yards I think. Each yardage has its own separate area. Also, they have great walking and/or biking trails.

I have been going to Rockwood since I was playing little league baseball. It is a staple location in my everyday life. What an awesome resource for exercising, taking the pups to the dog park and just general hanging out with family. It is very well maintained and kept above par clean, grounds crew does a great job. Thanks for this place. Im there at least 6 days a week to exercise or run with the hound dog.

A great family-friendly park and nature center with small collection of native virginia reptiles. Very friendly staff. Park has many well marked and maintained trails. A few trails are paved and handicapped accessible.

This is a wonderfully maintained park with a dog park, walking trails, public archery area, exercise stations, informative classes and more. The staff are supportive and friendly! It's truly a gem! My kids took an archery class with Ms. Joan and she was great! She was patient and knowledgeable. The kids loved it! I highly recommend it.

I love walking these trails, it’s a great place for anyone to walk or run. There are paved paths as well as unpaved trails. One of the unpaved trails goes along the bank of Gregory’s pond and it’s really nice to take in the scenery. I almost didn’t wanna post this review because I like that it’s not overcrowded and you can just enjoy walking along the bank. If it’s warm and sunny out, you’re likely to see quite a few turtles sunbathing on the logs along the bank. The trails are pretty easy to follow too, it’s unlikely that you’d get lost as long as you look for the signs when you come to a fork in the trail.
