A lovely place to walk with pretty nature and easy trails. Part of the trail have a nice amount of shade and there is running water along most of the paths we walked. We saw a variety of plants and animals. The people walking there were friendly and a nice amount of folks were out enjoying a beautiful day.

The Mallard Creek Greenway, starting from Kirk Farm Fields, is an excellent trail for a family outing. The trail road condition is good with both paved road and gravel. It's a great spot for walking, running, or cycling, with most of the path shaded by trees. The scenic Mallard Creek adds to the trail's beauty. At Kirk Farm Fields, you'll find a parking lot with limited spaces, along with a picnic table, a water filling station, a bike tool stand, and a portable restroom. Overall its a great sport.

First time running on the mallard creek greenway. Easy parking early in the morning but parking lot was full when we got back around 830AM. Beautiful trail with tons of wildlife and shade. Saw deer, salamanders, hawks, turtles and a copperhead. Connects to Toby creek and Barton creek greenways as well. Excellent place for a walk, run or bike ride.

2025.05.16 ~07:15, ~70s_F at start, ~85_F at end ~09:45, for my ~6+ mi Loop: Toby Creek Greenway > Mallard Creek Greenway > UNC Charlotte > Barton Creek Greenway. The trails were in good condition and trash-free. Encountered a total of ~6 people & 2 dogs; everyone was courteous and friendly.

Beautiful Greenway... I love the atmosphere. I will say clean up after ur furbabies... enjoy the benches... Folks seem to respect the space... It was busier in the evening. Bring water... and keep it clean.
