They are always very gentle and understanding with my cat and dog! My dog has separation anxiety so they are great about letting me be with her for things like vaccines. They also refill prescriptions quickly and are very easy to get in touch with for advice over the phone. The app is also very easy to use.

VCA staff have always been so kind, so empathetic, so careful with our fur babies. the first free vet exam for both of our cats REALLY helped make their care accessible to our family. At our last appointment she wouldn't come out of the carrier. they didn't charge us an exam fee, which i really appreciated, and they were able to get us a new appointmentin first a few days. VCA vaccinations can be a little spendy, but there are other resources in town to get them done elsewhere. vca staff are very informed about these resources and pointed us in the right direction. The staff are always so understanding and kind and they handle difficult emotional conversations about euthanasia and quality of life with such tender care. really appreciate the service we consistently receive here!

VCA has been our vet for about four years, in Vancouver and now in Portland. The staff are consistently kind and handle our cats compassionately. To discuss costs in these trying times: The new care plans are good options to break high cost establishment care for new kittens or puppies into affordable monthly payments for their first year. The cost of care out of pocket falls in the middle, not the low or high end, and the initial exam as a first time patient is free.

This girl is not only my pride and joy, she is my everything. The staff at VCA Laurelhurst is so amazing, so caring, and so loving to my Bridie. They have gone above and beyond with me when I had new pet jitters. I'm not sure how many people out there have pets that get excited when you pull into the vets parking lot. But Birdie knows there are hugs and treats on the other side of that door.

I cannot recommend this vet office more. On our first appointment, the staff was welcoming and kind, and didn’t pressure us into any purchases (we did sign up for the basic care plan for our new dog to get her vaccines and make sure she stayed healthy). Earlier this month, our husky got very sick. The staff not only got us in almost immediately (including calling throughout the day before the appointment to check on Jenna and see if they needed to move her appointment), but also were quick to diagnose her, and even quicker to get her in for the surgery she urgently needed the next morning. On top of all of this, they pulled every single string they could to make this urgent surgery as affordable as possible to us, while also provided the utmost care to our sweet girl. The staff text me through the day of her surgery, and the surgeon messaged me directly to tell me how she was progressing. We have the goofball we love and missed dearly back because this office acted quickly and with compassion and care. And I cannot thank them enough.
