Be able to identify and AVOID nettles. This wild and well maintained park has a wonderful variety of grasses, mosses, wildflowers, ferns, fungi, trees in various stages of life, streams, climbs. Complete with “beachfront” on the Willamette River. Great place for off-leash dogs! includes a nice mowed open area for picnics. Restrooms provided! I always look for mushrooms and various forms of fungi, traditional source of dyes.

This was a very nice little park just about 10 minutes past orchard heights. There were several little trails that you could walk and have space to yourself. Tons of wildflowers were popping up everywhere as well

Gorgeous area for a good afternoon stroll with family or your doggo. Access to the water. The trail is muddy so bring a change of shoes, some areas of the trail have the surrounding vegetation overgrown so long sleeves are recommended.

Great little park with several 1 mile long hiking trails and also a couple of mountain biking trails. Muddy in the winter and really quite lovely in the summer. There are two grass fields for fetch playing and a bathroom. One trail was completely inaccessible due to the downed trees from the February 2021 ice storm.

We went on a Friday in January so we had the place to ourselves! Wounderful, secluded park. Nice trails. Clean, new-ish pit toilets. Grew up close by in Salem and never knew this park was here. Definitely going back.
