(from Google)Nicest place in Clinton. Beautiful view of the Mississippi, particularly after sunset and during the full moon.
I love this River Way Trail just outside Bettendorf, IA but in the Riverdale area. Nature trails like these are appreciated because of their maintained asphalt walkway. Great for walking, hiking, running, and biking. There are shady areas perfect for getting out of the sun. Sitting benches are placed along the trail for those wanting to set and enjoy nature, bird watching or just needing a break to sit. Duck Creek runs along the trailhead and is great for checking out the wildlife or throwing in a fishing line. (Fishing license needed) The trail is well maintained and has a few hilly areas that some individuals may have a difficult time getting up especially with bikes. While out walking noticed a few people walking their bikes up the hill. Overall, this is a great trail for most ages. For those that have small children with strollers this trail is great just be ready for a couple of hills. Definitely recommend this beautiful place!
This trailhead has easy access to both the Duck Creek Trail and the River Front Trail and both are great to ride! Road crossings are easy with plenty of trail underpasses. Both trails pass through lots of parks and have great views. They each have a few hills to climb, but not too bad if you shift down and take your time.
Trail runs all the way from State Street in Bettendorf all the way to West Davenport. There is a small waterfall about a quarter mile from the trailhead at State Street. Follows Crow Creek along its way. Can be busy at times bikers runners and dog walkers.
The trail is well maintained and easy to navigate with plenty of nice stops along the way. It is multi use trail so caution for bikes, children and dogs.
