PetSmart Veterinary Services - Mayaguez

Excellent service. Employees were very nice and professional.

I’ve been taking my two dogs there for almost two years. I feel very comfortable with how they treat us humans and dogs. The info they provide is clear. It’s a bit more expensive than other vet’s in the area but I feel the organization is worth. They have separate small rooms for the patients, although sometimes you have to wait for a while, even if you have an appointment. Walk ins are accepted as long as there’s room, but they charge extra for that. The vets and technicians are very good and kind, but my favorite one is the owner, he’s a super nice guy who’s always willing to help you with doubts and recommendations.

My experience in Petsmart Vet services has always been one of excellence. Yes, they can be pricey but what veterinary isn’t? All u have to say up front is what kind of budget you have available for your pet and they will work with you. Also, you need to be proactive, asking the right questions and not taking anything for face value. I don’t know about the Ponce facility although I understand one of the best doctors works more there than in Mayagüez. Luckily for me, he was able to see both of my dogs , one at a time ( including helping me with the process of loosing my 20 year old dog 😭) . Later, I went back w one of my cats and was seen by a nice , knowledgeable female doctor. I do realize, sometimes it doesn’t work that way.

I wish I could give them 5 stars just for the awesome receptionist. Back in October 19, She helped find a veterinarian who can see my cat for a walk in since I was taking her overseas the next day. She was a blessing given I walked in to the Ponce location and they were horrible.

I payed 500 and something for my dog having diarrhea... and I waited all day for my dog until the store was about to close 🙄 and after I read everything they gave my dog they gave him something they didn't consult me for and charged me for it 😑. So I spent all my weekly salary on one vet visit and they wanted me to come back in a week 🙃 Insane. How much more would I have to pay 🙃 my vital organs. Anyway the vet lady was nice but I just can't afford so much it really took me by surprise.
