(from Google)Be sure to bring bug spray. There are little ponds that breed biting insects. I can attest to that.
This was a nice trail with tall trees and a little manmade creek. It was near the road so I could hear the cars but it was ok. There were lots of squirrels running around.
I’ve gone plenty of times on weekday mornings and rarely came across anyone else, it gets quieter with older trees the further you go. Definitely feels more rugged but I prefer my walks this way. If you want cement pavement walk around the suburbs! This is the woods.
I really wanted to love this place, plenty of parking, beautiful beyond words, peaceful, lots and lots of shade, very clean..etc.. but I cannot with the sand on the ground. it was really annoying to me and made walking uncomfortable. It’s not layers and layers of sand, but enough to annoy me. But give it a chance!
Very nice. And shady , surrounded by trees and the trails are dirt no pavement which I like. I'll definitely come back here
