Hot day, cool, clean, clear water! The perfect place to float and not crowded at all. No bad smells and eclveryone was polite. Not much parking so be prepared to walk a bit. We'll worth it though.

We love this little beach. The people are so friendly. I even lost a ring and someone found it and went to great lengths to get it back to me,

Great place to put in kayaks or take out. Paid parking, good launch and floated a portion of the weeki. If you have the option, put in at the head spring and float down to Roger's Park. Hospital hole had lots of manatees and it was a short paddle from the launch. Lots of houses along the way, not the serene part of the river for sure, but beautiful.

Lovely little park open 24 hours a day including the bathroom! Usually park restrooms are locked at night, but not here. Stopped here while on an overnight storm-chase and sat for probably an hour around 2AM to take a break from driving and look at weather forecasts with no issues. The spring was also really pretty. Even though it was dark, the water was crystal clear and warm (probably around 72⁰) which is weird considering the air temperature was 28⁰f.

We happened to stop at this park for a rest. We talked to people and the Kayak place about activities to do in the area. We were headed to Crystal River for some manatee viewing and boat ride. ( which was great too) the next day on our drive back We bought a Kayak and returned to park to Kayak to hospital hole a place manatees like to go and hang out. There were many. Such a great experience to see them so close and in their own environment. We will be back.
