I would like to thank Andy for making me feel welcome and comfortable. The beers I had were the Cashmere, which was a hefeweizen. I love Hefeweizen, and this one is pretty good, but there's a slight change that most might not agree with. Another beer I tried was the Dortschlager. This beer I enjoyed slightly more than the Cashmere. This beer has a smoother taste. However, these beers are great products. I had a taste of lil’ schnitz, and it was fried to perfection, not overly breaded and super soft. The main dish was the pastrami sandwich, and the rye bread was perfectly buttery, with a slight crunch on the crust. It was a great meat-to-sauce-to-sauerkraut-to-bread ratio. This is a great place to visit, and it is veteran-owned.

Wonderful place for beer specialists. Service is on point, friendly and fast. We popped in on Sunday noon visit. We sat at the bar but there is plenty of seating, indoor and outdoors. Beer is cold and tasty. We have the pretzel biscuits to accompany our Cashemere Hefeweizen. Biscuits not only had a great presentation but were delicious. Don’t freak out since brewery is in the middle of a neighborhood, odd but in a normal south San Antonio way. Highly recommend if you are looking for a new, great place to enjoy good beer.

Went a couple of weeks back and didn't have a good time. Rating a 4 and not lower because manager understood what happened and invited us back. Ordered with the QR codes to begin with and first rounds got the the table in a timely manner. By the time we ordered food and another round of drinks is where the problems started. Food took a long time, about 45 min. We got a pretzel , the shrimp roll and a brat. My brat was missing the mustard so I asked the waiter to just bring me a side when he got a chance. 30 minutes and nothing. Kept reminding the waiter and never even received it. Had also ordered another round of drinks and that took about 30 min and I didn't want to wait longer so I went to the bar and surely enough our drinks were right there on the counter. Had to get them ourselves. Bad experience, I didn't even get to eat since I never got my mustard. Needless to say I wasn't asking for a free meal, I just wanted my food as I explained to Andy but I didn't want to end up waiting another 45 minutes. He made it right and invited us back. Hopefully our next visit is way better.

San Antonio has a proud German heritage and this pub perfectly represents that image. They serve a multitude of beers, including German imports and German-inspired domestics. German beer is highly regarded in both taste and quality, and this pub does a great job showcasing that high regard. Truly one of the spots to visit in San Antonio to a seek German-inspired experience. But the beer is not the only thing that resembles the authentic German experience; the food also adequately represent the German culture. Staples like the Brautswurst, etc, will give you an authentic taste of German cuisine. There is other competition in the area, but this pub will give you an authentic German experience.

Our first time here today. I was really excited about having some Spätzle but didn't realize that they only have a brunch menu until 3pm on Sundays. So we went for the Schnitzel Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached. The Jägersauce was made with a touch of wine, I believe. The fries were nice and crispy. It was good. There are definitely some German touches in the Restaurant. When we left, we also saw that they have a nice outdoor area.
