One of my favorite spots in the Bay Area to hike! It’s always a nice walk with beautiful scenery and animals, not to mention the quiet at the top! I love the view and the sun feels great during this adventure.

Nice hike. Can be muddy if it rained recently. During dry season gnats can be annoying. The vistas are unique for the area, looking down on 580 and east to Altamont Pass in the distance. Cows can be a bit territorial. And their patties are, well, part of the territory.

I have mixed feelings about this park. On one hand, it’s nice when the grass is green and breezy in the spring. On the other hand, the nice valley views are obstructed by these big houses and the freeway, and there is cow dung everywhere. Unless you live close to the area, it’s okay for a one time visit.

I actually really like this area. The trail is a steady climb . But once you get to the gate it's pretty smooth for a while. It breaks off into other trails where you can snag views of the Dublin area and distance windmills on Altamont pass. Bathroom which was pretty clean at trailhead. There a few things like cow poop which my pup just happens to like 🤣🤢. And no trees so go when it's cooler. Gophers galore and can get a bit windy. But overall love this place.

Lovely place to park your car for a hike on Calaveras Ridge Regional Trail. They have restroom as well near this staging area. On the trail there aren't any trees but the scinic views from top are super awesome. The trail gets very steep very quickly so be prepared for a good hike. Over all my experience was super awesome. It is a grate place to bring your family and friends.
