Pet Supplies Plus Springfield (W. Kearney)

I was just in there on 5/24/25, 5:30pm. I’m still in the parking lot. I have a bird at home with a broken leg that we are waiting for conservation to come get on Monday. I tried to ask the guy with the long dark hair behind the counter to help me get some food and he would not even move. Seemed so disinterested would barely even talk to me. I have no idea about bird so I was thinking the guy at the PET STORE could help. He didn’t give a shit lol. I will not be coming back here for anything

I already attempted to resolve this in person and was met with extremely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from staff. While I was on the phone with corporate, the groomer, Breanne, who admitted my dog was dropped off the table, approached with another employee, stood nearby, and engaged in behavior that felt intimidating and inappropriate for a customer setting. Employees refused to provide their names, gave me incorrect information for corporate contact, and denied an incident that had already been admitted. When I tried to address the situation, I was spoken to dismissively and my concerns were not taken seriously. This is not just a customer service issue—it reflects a serious lack of training, accountability, and oversight at this location. I am not comfortable returning to or contacting this store again. This has been escalated to corporate, and I am requesting a full refund of $120 due to negligent handling and failure to provide the services paid for. Due to the handling of this situation, formal complaints have also been filed. ***************************************************** I am filing a formal complaint against Pet Supplies Plus in Kearney for negligence, unsafe handling of animals, and deceptive billing practices. On 4/3/26, I paid $120 for two dogs to receive bath and brush services, including proper drying and bandanas. The services were not performed as agreed. My dogs were returned within approximately 30 minutes, still soaking wet and emitting a strong odor, indicating they were not properly cleaned or dried. I was also charged for bandanas that were not provided. More concerning, the groomer admitted that one of my dogs fell off the grooming table during the service. This is a clear failure to maintain basic safety standards and constitutes negligent handling of an animal. These actions may violate consumer protection laws regarding misrepresentation of services and raise serious concerns regarding animal welfare and duty of care. I am demanding a full refund of $120 immediately. If this matter is not resolved, I will proceed with formal complaints to the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, Better Business Bureau, and any applicable animal welfare authorities, in addition to pursuing all available legal remedies. This situation is unacceptable and will not be ignored.

I love this store for getting feeders. Their animals look healthy! I wish that jumping Spiders and betta fish had better standards of care, but that's not limited to this store. I really love how they try to bring the community in and educate them about certain pets. Oh! And the rewards program goes very quickly for me. I'm ready to see what the new rewards program is like! The staff has always been super nice to me!

I always shop at this store for all of my fur babies needs because the employees are awesome! Always very quick and easy shopping experience and they are friendly and ask me every time I visit if I need help to my car. They have even been locking the doors on multiple occasions and see me running trying to make it before they close to get my dog's food and every time they have unlocked the door and helped me get what I need quickly so my babies don't have to go without. I appreciate all of the fantastic customer service at this location!

They had most of what I was looking for. Only had 1 item they didn’t carry. The regional manager told me about another kind of food (Halo) that would be just a good for my dog, already had the Glucosamine added to the food; which would save on that cost. Also the food he showed me was about $20 cheaper for the same size 22 pound bag.
