(from Google)Went to lake Apopka for a gravel cycling event. It was to support and explore the area. Had a great time.
Very nice park, teeming with wildlife, seems to have great fishing. Plenty of alligators.
Great views, however the lake is polluted with pesticides. Hopefully the town can continue to clean it and improve the quality of the water. Watch out for the gators!
Awesome place to go watch the sunsets or take the kids to the new playground they built. Whole lake front was fully renovated with new boat docks and environmental learning facility. Nice, clean restrooms and plenty of parking.
The park is well appointed and clean. Easily accessible and well maintained boat ramp. Absolutely beautiful sunsets but you will want to bring your mosquito protection. Situated just south of a driving trail that is excellent for bird and wildlife watching.
