(from Google)The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, although it may be cramped for some in the middle of the restaurant if you have 4 or more people in your party. Unfortunately, the restaurant upcharges for most meals (although it’s not explicitly spelled out on the menu besides “Starting at” for items like the B-Grand) on the menu and the wait staff feed into said upcharging by offering additions to scrambled eggs (cheese, onions, peppers) and the Mallorca French toast instead of the regular French toast (The only difference I noticed in the breads were their color). I ordered scrambled eggs, but they came out like an omelet. All in all, the food was ok, but not worth the price as I’ve had better food at Waffle House and IHOP. Options are limited in Virginia Beach, so I feel for folks here. If you’re willing to deal with sus menu and wait staff practices and okay-ish food, this is the place for you.
Highly recommend this place! I had a chicken bacon French toast sandwich on Mallorca bread. Fabulous! Looking forward to trying many of their other Hispanic specialties.
Great great great place. Everything and I mean Everything was PERFECT. The food was seasoned to perfection. The portions were really good as well. I got the pork chop and waffles and the pork chop was seasoned all the way to the bone lol. Drinks were A1 service was A1 definitely a must go.
I was looking for a different spot to eat my birthday breakfast and came across this hidden treasure on Google. Situated in the Lynnhaven area right before the mall, there is the Breakfast Bar Hispanic Fusion. The restaurant is cute and quaint with a rustic industrial element with a farmhouse touch. The small bar area is decorated with wooden barrels and high-top stools to eat at the bar cute little tables for patrons willing to eat in house. Seated as soon as we walked in the front door. Service was amazing. Several servers walking around checking to make sure patrons are doing good. For starters, I had the flight of four mimosas $16,..whoooo. wheee. ..you might go off the edge if you don't pace yourself. DELICIOUS! They have several different flavors to enjoy. For food, I decided on an omelet with Mexican chrizo, cheese, peppers, tomatoes, Mallorca toast for extra $2 and breakfast fries. My husband ordered a waffle with breakfast fries, turkey sausage and egg hard. When I tell you this food is good, it is good! You can definitely.taste the Hispanic fusion. DEFINITELY ON MY LIST TO REVISIT AND TELL OTHERS ABOUT THIS HIDDEN GEM!
The Breakfast Bar is a hidden gem! It's a Hispanic fusion breakfast/lunch spot with food that's full of flavor and heart. We shared the homemade Mallorca bread and it was so good I forgot to take a picture (oops 😅) soft, sweet, and absolutely delicious. My daughter had the Cuban (perfectly pressed and packed with flavor) and I had an omelette that was fluffy, fresh, and filling. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole vibe of the place is warm and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit - I'll be back for that bread alone!
