(from Google)Beautiful place to walk along the water and enjoy the sound of waves. It's especially nice now there is not highway noise!
Fantastic, gorgeous, scenic spot that you can easily enjoy for a short stroll or a long leisurely walk/run/ride. The road was closed off to traffic so the pedestrians can fully immerse themselves in the classic famous San Franciscan backdrop right by the water. The community comes together here and people are courteous, friendly, and diverse. You'll see young, old, able bodied, assisted, families, couples, special groups and animal companions. It's hard to imagine a highway setting could be so beautiful, but the terrain is unique and charming.
Had a great time walking on this trail since it is car free now. I rode my motorcycle there, got some coffee and had a good stroll. Nice to get some fresh air. Weather is unpredictable and could be chilly and windy.
Stopped here when I was in SFO for Thanksgiving. I was a chilly day, but the sun was out and the beach area was perfect. Getting here wasn't a challenge. Parking too wasn't a challenge. The walk to the beach was simple and it was clean and decent. The crowds were slight and not crazy. I bet during good summer days the place can get packed. The road by the beach was shut but I believe they do that during weekends to keep traffic off. Very pedestrian friendly. Had a good time.
It's a wonderful peaceful walk along the ocean. Did this during a weekday just after lunch. Very few people on the beach. The continuous crashing waves and the light misty fog made for a beautiful walk. Loved it!!
