(from Google)Fun open space to visit. This being my only second time here, I was previously here during the summer when it was warm, dry and the hills were light brown. This time everything was lush and green which made for a more enjoyable experience. I came out with a local trail running group to explore these hills. Lots of gradual hills to climb but the beautiful views once you got to the top were worth it. You can run through lots of tall grass so make sure to check for ticks when leaving here. There are a lot of cattle up here as well so be respectful of them if you see them along the trails. All the trails are exposed so it better to do this in the morning or a cooler day. Service can be a little spotty when you're up in the hills so better to have an idea of where you are going. Although there were several trail posts that you come across along the way so make sure you know what direction you are heading in. I liked that there was a little parking lot right in front of the trailhead so that made it nice and that I didn't have to park somewhere else in a neighborhood. Recommend this trail if you want to get out of the house for a little while and take a stroll up through the hills.
don't even consider riding your mountain bike here. Cows blocking the entrances and they ruined the trails. Same story as five years ago but for some reason they stuck an expensive parking lot At the trailhead. Poorly marked trails. You'll die out here in the summer if you're not careful. Again never bring a bicycle out here.
Relaxing open space with great view of sunset. This is where you can commune with nature comfortably. 🥰🥰🥰
We are local, my brother and I and we do quite a bit of hiking in this area but we had never been here before. This place is absolutely beautiful! Please be advised the grass is high and last month there were lots of reports of really bad ticks. However, my brother and I did not encounter any this time, it's something to be aware of if you decide to come. There is parking and it is free. There is also a porta potty for that emergency bathroom break. The trails are pretty well maintained and everything is so green right now. I believe this is a great trail for families. Also something to keep in mind, it is not dog friendly. You have to leave your fur babies at home.
This was a great hike! Because of all the rain it was pretty muddy in places, so good shoes/boots are needed. We did the entire loop and it was 5 miles. We saw a lot of cows which was awesome, but cows mean cow pies! So be on the look out! My niece nephew and I had a great time!
