VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital

On February 25th we found out that our 12 year old Australian Shepard Max had a massive amount of cancer throughout his body. So on February 26th we took Max to the VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital so that he could die peacefully. Dr. Bidwell, Christine, Albert and their team were understanding, sensitive, kind, and empathetic through each step of the process. We felt supported and cared for during one of the most difficult days of our life. Thank you for your peaceful care.

We recently had to put our cat down over the holidays, but so grateful for all of the support and hard work to help our fur baby live a better life! It ended up being his time, but we appreciate everything the doctors and staff did in urgent care and through the past year to help our senior cat. Including emergency surgery during the holidays. We appreciate all the care and love you gave to Midnight!

I can't say enough good about our visit here today with our cat. Everyone was super friendly They were completely understanding with our unique situation. The vet and tech that helped us were awesome! They were so nice!! She went over everything I needed to know and answered all questions I had thoroughly! I am moving another 20 minutes away from their office.But I will absolutely be bringing our girl to them regularly , and for all needs , because they were absolutely wonderful! They also gave us a welcome gift baggie with some really cute things including a couple toys for the kitty!!

VCA Duke St. is very helpful and treats my puppy with lots of care. The staff at the front desk are very nice and hard working. The vets and assistants are also amazing and hard working. My puppy always feels comfortable at this vet which makes me feel a lot better about going. Thank you for caring for my puppy!!!

They were the one vet in the area who would take us as a walk in for my pup who had a laceration on her paw. Kathy was extremely helpful and kind over the phone and made us feel very at peace with our visit. Dr. Elizalde was great and examined/treated my dog quickly. Unfortunately, my dog didn’t get better and we had to go to another ER eventually, but I really appreciate the care she received at your hospital, and the texting service you offer—Amy answered all my follow up questions and was so quick to respond/give me advice for outpatient care. Thank you all, hopefully we won’t be back anytime soon😭
