(from Google)This place usually offer 18+ beers on tap plus 2 to 3 types of wine. Their brisket is amazing and I recommend it with taters tots this is a great place!
Saloon Door West is the kind of place that feels easy to like from the first visit. It has a laid-back, neighborhood vibe that makes it just as good for a casual afternoon stop as it is for a relaxed evening out. We usually like to go earlier in the day, before the crowds roll in, and that timing really lets you enjoy the space and the atmosphere without feeling rushed or packed in. The beer selection is one of the biggest highlights. There’s a wide variety on tap, with options that range from familiar favorites to more adventurous picks, so it works whether you’re a craft beer fan or just want something solid and cold. I suggest the Ridiculous, Basic or I must Break You. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to help if you’re deciding between options, which adds to the overall experience. If beer isn’t your thing, Saloon Door West still delivers. The St. Arnold’s root beer is a great non-alcoholic option, and the frozen wine margaritas are surprisingly refreshing and well-balanced. They’re an easy favorite for anyone looking for something different. Overall, Saloon Door West keeps things simple in the best way: good drinks, a chill atmosphere, and a welcoming feel that makes it a place you want to return to.
This is a cool place with a truly chill vibe and consistently good beer. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere feels laid-back and welcoming, making it easy to settle in and enjoy yourself. The staff is friendly, attentive, and clearly takes pride in the place, which adds to the overall experience. The beers are always cold, well-crafted, and there’s usually something on tap for every taste, whether you prefer light and refreshing or something a little bolder. What really makes this spot stand out is how versatile it is. It’s a great choice for a casual date night if you’re looking for somewhere relaxed but still fun, and it’s just as perfect for a family night out. Kids are welcome, which makes it easy for families to enjoy a night together without feeling out of place. On certain nights, food trucks set up on-site, offering a variety of great food options that pair perfectly with the drinks and keep things fresh and exciting. Another highlight is their periodic farmers markets held right in the parking lot. These events support local vendors and bring the community together, adding an extra layer of charm to the experience. Overall, this is a place that feels rooted in the community, offers great drinks, and provides a comfortable, enjoyable environment for just about any occasion.
Great community based bar/restaurant! Fantastic food, beer, and cider selections. Highly recommended: brisket egg rolls, saloon burger, loaded fries, & Taylor at the bar! There’s also a Mug Club membership available
First experience was with a group meetup, so just ordering beer at the bar. Second experience, came to check out the food and other beer. We ordered the loaded fries and the SD #1 SD kemah suprema and the #3 SD wheat. The beer and food were great! We will be back based on that. A few things to earn five stars. 1 - when we say it's our first time here, some type of introduction to the beer and establishment might be nice. 2 - there are some copper steins or mugs that you can purchase? Have no idea what those are, but other people bought them? Sales opportunities missed with us? 3 - brunch! OMG I had no idea about the brunch! We will be back for the brunch! More attention/advertising is needed for the brunch! Updated my review to five stars after several visits. Great beer selection and they keep holding different events with varieties of tasty meals/treats.
