(from Google)What a great learning experience and to see so many different beautiful top-of-the-line trees manicured with perfection and some of them very old
I was there on a warm, pleasant mid-April Sunday. The flowering trees were really putting on a show. There were many Sunday strollers out, but it never felt crowded because the park is so spacious. People often use the Arboretum as a beautiful backdrop for photos such as graduations and weddings. Dogs are permitted on leash. We brought ours and saw a few others. The grounds are exquisitely maintained and the building holding the gift shop and restrooms was open and is very tasteful, a tribute to nature and very clean, maintained.
My favorite place in the area! Cute walkway through beautiful greenery, a small visitor area with information and a gift shop with rooms for rent for events and bathrooms. A must see! Accessible parking and walking areas. Please remember to throw any trash you bring away.
The Yakima Area Arboretum is a treat. There are well-marked and well-labeled collections of different tree types, set in spacious grounds. The staff at the visitor center were very friendly and helpful. I only planned to visit once during a one-week visit to Yakima, but ended up going there three times. I'll definitely be back!
Great place to just relax and hangout in the city. It’s quite large and spread out. Lots of trails to walk around in and explore. You can go across the lawns towards Yakima river as well and walk along it. The building near parking has a gift shop as well restrooms. Relatively large variety of plants which was great to see. Located right next to the highway but still very peaceful and quiet.
