(from Google)This restaurant truly lives up to its name Mi Casita—it feels like a cozy home with a beautiful patio. We ordered the mofongo with seafood in criolla sauce, and everything was spot-on. The mofongo was soft and flavorful, the seafood tender, and the criolla sauce delicious with just the right touch of garlic to elevate the dish. The whole fried fish was perfectly cooked, not overdone at all. The fried pork pieces were crispy, and the rice and beans were excellent. The beans had all the classic ingredients our abuelitas would use, including calabaza, giving them that comforting homemade taste. They only down part it was the wait but it was worth it. The coconut mojito was great.
The food here was absolutely delicious! I had the carne frita with rice and beans as my main course—flavorful and perfectly cooked. For appetizers, we enjoyed empanadas, sirojitos, and wings, all packed with taste. Not shown in the photos, we also ordered mofongo and a whole red snapper (chillo frito), both of which were excellent. The service was very good—friendly and attentive. A great dining experience all around!
The food was cooked to perfection. A minor setback is that the food was a bit cold as if it was not served when it was ready by the kitchen. In addition, we had to wait about 30 mins for our food after ordering it. We told our waiter and he apologized by saying the kitchen was backed up
Great rest/bar in the foothills of the mountains of Ponce PR. Great food, service and family atmosphere.
Excellent fried red snapper, better than most seafood restaurants, prompt service, bar drinks delicious. Nice atmosphere. Outstanding waitress Airiana.
