(from Google)My favorite park. I wish there were more shade trees for the tables and benches. Walking/bike path is great!!
Good walking trails for adults. Wish there was a bit more shade but I love that it’s free and easy to visit.
Amazing dog park and a lovely group of dog owners! Small and large dog sections. Both sections are of good size with lots of green grass. Poop bags available as well as human and dog water fountains.
We visited this park from out of town, at the recommendation from a local friend who said this was the only park in town she felt safe going to alone with her child. The playground equipment had three areas that were broken/wrapped with caution tape and/or plywood. I did appreciate that it was shaded. While I was at the park alone with my children at 2pm on a Wednesday, the only other people I saw in the span of an hour were single adult men, of which we saw almost a dozen, as they were coming and going in the immediate vicinity of the playground and restrooms. When we attempted to walk some of the (beautiful!) trails, we were approached by an off-leash black pit-mix dog who did not have an owner. I personally won’t go back if I’m in the area, unless I’m with another adult. It just did not seem populated enough by families to be safe (while alone with children) with the circumstances we encountered on our visit.
I enjoy walking around the park after midnight. It's always feels safe. I also love the amount of power outlets that are around the park to charge up my devices.
