(from Google)Had a takeout order for 4 people during our family vacation — 4 wing orders with different flavors (Mild, Thai Chili, and Mango Habanero) plus an order of “Bring Da Ruckus” Bulgogi Beef Tacos. Let me start by saying the wings themselves were a really good size — very meaty and definitely not dry. Unfortunately, they weren’t crispy at all, and the biggest disappointment was that all three flavors had almost no flavor on the wings themselves. We were really looking forward to a fun wing night with the family, so it was honestly a huge letdown 😔. The food had great potential based on portion size and quality of the chicken, but the lack of seasoning/sauce flavor made the experience pretty disappointing overall.
The food was amazing. The staff very friendly and helpful. We didn't wait too long for our food. It was a fun atmosphere with it being Jeopardy trivia night. The place is on the smaller side.
Cute divey spot. Our server was awesome and really went out of her way for us naturally. We tried the wild west mother clucker and the garlic parm blackened whiskey dry rub together as a wing. You heard me right… we couldn’t decide so they made it into one so we didn’t have to. Obsessed with this place already. Everything was so fresh and mid-bite pause worthy good. Love in every bite! Definitely will be back!!!
Like tacos? You’ll love Taco Tuesday! Don’t forget their specialty hot sauce but take heed - a couple drops will do ya. The vegetarian tacos have a great sautéed and seasoned veggie base and plentiful avocado. I’m not even a mushroom lover but don’t mind them with their seasoning.
We came to The Wheelhouse because of Google reviews saying their chicken wings were the best near Clearwater/ St Pete's. After trying the Dry Rub Lemon Pepper, Whiskey Dry Rub, Mango Habanero and the BBQ, I am pretty confident that they could be the best in the area. They were crispy and juicy and really flavorful. The Big Al's fries were delicious too. Crispy crinkle cut fries with melted cheddar cheese and bacon, served with ranch on the side. The bar/ restaurant is pretty small with maybe 10 tables and 12-15 bar spots. It's very unassuming, in a strip mall with other small businesses. Don't let that deter you. Great service, great food and interesting conversations with regulars... you can't go wrong.
