In November, our dog Remington ate something he shouldn’t have and got really sick. We just celebrated our son’s first birthday and he must’ve eaten something unknown at the party. My husband took him to Mason Dixon for emergency care because his symptoms were very scary. Our primary vet is also 50 minutes away and we wanted Remington to be seen right away. The team was very helpful and explained what was going on with Remington (almost 3 year old golden retriever). Remington was placed on medicine and fluids and recovered within a couple days. He did have to stay overnight for a day or two I believe. Although we were anxious and worried, they gave us comfort that he would get better and his symptoms were typical of him eating something he shouldn’t have. We also received periodic updates and we were able to call and ask for more updates if needed. We have only had a great experiences here since moving to PA in 2023. As a dog owner, I will always make sure to have pet insurance. Hospital visits will always be expensive whether you’re a dog or human. There’s a lot of negative feedback to the prices regarding emergency vets including this one, and I understand it’s financially stressful and draining. If you have a pet, it’s a great idea to have pet insurance to help when these emergencies happen especially when you can’t get to your regular vet. As a pet owner, I know it’s part of my responsibility to be able to care for my pets and to make sure I have the savings and/or pet insurance to cover them.

Our dog, June had a medical emergency and our regular vet sent us to Mason Dixon Emergency Vet. Dr. McCarty thoroughly explained June's diagnosis and recommended a hospital stay to support June so she could recover. When I first brought her in I was terrified that June would not make it through the night. But the staff took great care of her, updated us along the way, and made sure she was calm and comfortable during her time away from us. June is home with us, safe, healthy and happy. We are forever grateful to the staff for helping our girl.

I can’t say thank you enough to Mason Dixon and their extraordinary team. After our little guy, Rocky, was attacked by a much larger dog, we rushed him there for care. From the moment we arrived, Dr. Moore and her team treated Rocky—and our entire family—with such compassion, kindness, and professionalism. They cared for him as if he were their own. During a very scary and emotional time, they provided not only exceptional medical care but also comfort and reassurance. Thanks to their dedication and expertise, Rocky is now back home where he belongs, recovering in our arms. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Moore and every member of the team for the love, respect, and care they showed our precious boy. Thank you for helping Rocky heal and for giving our family peace of mind. We will never forget your kindness. ❤️

They were amazing! Dr. Longbottom had us initially when I rushed in and didnt think my kitten was going to make it. Our little guy had obtained a skull fracture and was in very critical condition when we brought him in. Dr. Longbottom was optimistic, hopeful, and very knowledgeable! Her bedside manner was phenomenal. And her techs were so kind and so patient. The front desk staff asked to see him and then dialed few numbers and they rushed him back. In a time of panic, shock, and worry these people do not hesitate and care for these animals like they were their own. We also had Dr. Parr and I believe Dr. Mccafferty who were also good. Dr. Mccafferty was great at communicating all of the vitals and updates on my kitten during the day. We actually had to go back a day later because my kitten started having cluster seizures and again they said they weren't sure he was going to make it, except this time it was Dr. Parr. The next day docs called and said seizures and swelling are under control and then placed him on antiseizure meds. Since then my little guy has come home, hes had zero seizures, and has resumed his kitten activities. Also, the front desk ladies I didnt catch their names but they were incredible and so so sweet! My kitten waffles is alive and well thanks to the care at this hospital. Thank you so much Mason dixxon team you whipped out a miracle and we are so very thankful you did!

Mason Dixon was nothing but a pleasant experience when I had to bring my cat in for a urinary issue in a flurry of panic today. The front desk staff, the techs, and Dr. Grove were all so pleasant and their building was beautiful and clean. I wish they were a regular vet, I’d make them my local go-to!! But the local area is very lucky to have access to great emergency services. I’m deeply grateful for their help and their kindness, they took great care of my best friend and he thoroughly enjoyed the attention he was given. Highly recommend them. Wait times are rough as with any emergency veterinary hospital, but that’s because they really take their time to assess and diagnose — don’t let that dissuade you. They’re open, caring and communicative. Cheers and thank you!!
