(from Google)Teaks came recommended to us by family that live locally (which is where the best recommendations come from!) and I have to say that it lived up to everything they said and more! The burgers are so different and fun - we wished we had time to try them all! We loved our burgers (The Maverick, The Drunken Monk, and The Balboa). You can tell that a lot of thought went into the menu and the combinations worked so well! If you have a family member who is burgered-out like we did, she got the BBQ chicken flatbread and it was great! The seafood and spinach dip was amazing - I wish I could find this in my home state. It disappeared way too fast! The garlic fries were absolutely perfect and the sweet potato tots are the best I've ever had. Ever. That's not all! Service was friendly, the restaurant was not too crowded and we happened to come on Trivia Night (Tuesdays)! It was so much fun to play while we waited for food and while eating. It was family friendly and such a fun atmosphere. You locals are lucky!
Delicious burgers. I had the Maverick loved it. The chili cheese fries were also very good. Loved the sauce of the killer bee sandwich. Spicy and garlic very delicious. The service could of been better, but overall good place to get beers and burgers.
Teak Restaurant never disappoints! The food is consistently amazing, full of flavor and always hits the spot. Huge shoutout to Alex, our waiter, who made the experience even better. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Great food, great service, and always a great time here! Been coming since 2012… I was pregnant with my daughter when I first ate there and today she was able to enjoy one of their burgers. Just incredible. Very special moment for us cause my husband love the burgers there.
Waited over an hour for food while others were being served quicker even though they came after us. We sat down the lady took our order, these two men next to us got there 15 mins later and within 20 mins they got their food. after 40 mins we asked about our food and the waitress clearly lied saying that the cooks "messed something up so they are remaking it" even tho both waitress passed by us twice within those 40 mins and they checked on us and didnt say a word regarding this, so i know they were lying it was very obvious they forgot to put our order in. After another 15 mins we finally get our food and my burger was pink even though i had asked for it well done. When i originally asked for itwell done she told us "oh the smash patties already come cooked because their smashed" yet when we confronted her about my pink burger she told us "oh those burgers come medium well". We again reminded her that i asked for it well done. We were told we were going to "get a discount" the discount they claimed was about $1-$2. My burger was 90% sauce to the point it kept slipping out of my hands and it turned my burger into ground beef. To top it off there was a dog next to us that was not a service animal and i continued to see dog fur fly around. Disgusting. I have never in my life had to give a ZERO tip, yet this was 100% justified. The absolute worse service.
I've always had such a soft spot for Teak. I was bummed to see the Maitland location close down but I'm happy to say that the Metro West location is still going strong. They have a very large selection of burgers with all kinds of fun options depending on what you're into. Whether its different types of beef, buns, sauces, toppings, you name it. I've had many over the years but I still haven't had every burger on their menu. They also have tacos, Mac bowls, and other types of entrees of you're not in the mood for a burger. They also have a good selection of craft beers on draft and can. The vibes are chill and the staff are always attentive and friendly. There's always a crowd when I've gone to Teak so it usually does take a bit to get food to the table, but that's honestly never bothered me because it's always a fun hang. Love ya, Teak.
