(from Google)Having to take your fur child to an emergency veterinary hospital is never easy and is very stressful. However, the staff at VEG is so caring and compassionate and do their best to decrease the stress of the animals and their humans. It can be a little strange when you first enter because the hospital is completely open including the procedure areas. However, this makes it much easier for the human family to fully participate in the treatment for their furry family member. Although I chose not to stay overnight, it was an option if I wanted to be with my pet the entire time. While my pet was hospitalized, I would come visit and the VEG staff made sure I had the space and time to spend with him. I hope people don't need to take their furry family members to the emergency hospital but, if they do, I highly recommend this facility.
VEG was competent, helpful and kind. They act quickly and seem to genuinely care about our bunny. The price for the service was reasonable as well. I recommend them and will go back if I need to.
Some really outstanding staff like Dr.Holmes & Scott the receptionist but sime other staff(the morning receptionist and vet techs) were less friendly and 1000% less competent. They poned my poor pup multiple times for several minutes with her screaming out in pain to draw blood after 8 hours of waiting and finally a third tech came and did it in seconds—we were there nearly 12 hours and spent over $2000 so would not recommend. We also could have been seen way earlier treated and released but kept getting pushed to the back of the line. I think they need more staff and some staff dedicated to expediting iv fluids and immediate care. I also think they should have more bathrooms, seating options and sanitizing/cleaning going on-I saw Scott cleaning seats after patients but the other receptionist did not clean or sanitize anything. My puppy had diarrhea and another dog was vomiting. separate vomiting animals and possibly contagious animals to separate areas and have a pet area/grass area outside to go to the bathroom. We kept getting told Liberty our dog woukd be next and hour after hour passed. The one bathroom was dirty and out of towels which I told the female receptionist snd they were not stocked until Scott got there. I also asked for a stool sample cup and she looked perplexed and said she would have to check with the nurse and to hold on. I waited and then said I could not wait any longer be ayse my puppy could not hold it. I think that thi gs could be run more efficiently and sime of the staff needs more training. I feel I got excellent care from Dr. Holmes but a lot of the other staff seemed clueless and uncaring. They even asked me what medications had been given to my dog when they came to draw her blood-“ has she had any sedatives? What kind?”- I am not a medical doctor and that should be due diligence to know the patient and look at their chart as well as to be competent enough to draw blood rather than make my enaciated dehydrated stressedout pup get poked multiple times like a pin cushion. I was there almost 12 hours and blankets were not replaced with clean ones and until Scott came nothing was cleaned. Not best practice.
The entire team at VEG that helped us is amazing. I’ve heard many good things about the facility but was hoping we’d never have to utilize their services. Our 3 year old pup Brody, on the other hand, had a different plan when he decided to jump out of a moving vehicle. They were efficient with their care, were able to get us in a room to hang out while we waited for meds to work on our big anxious boy and they checked on us frequently. You can tell they all love their jobs and their furry patients. Thankfully, we had no major injuries but were very happy with our care in ruling out any big scaries!
I absolutely love the people here. They make sure your furry family is taken care of right away and help you though the most hard times of your animals life. I was crying in the parking lot brining my Zoey dog in and the wonderful staff met me outside to take her in and check her out. The veterinarian talked to me and explained what Zoey was going through, and prescribed medication to help. That all happened on 03/26/26 and today on the 27th, there has been major improvement with Zoey! I couldn’t be happier. My pup may be up there in dog years but she is a fighter! She was diagnosed with vertigo and she struggled to stand up but she kept trying and would look at me for help. With my assistance, she has been able to take more steps and her balance is doing better. Thank you to the wonderful staff here!! You guys rock!! I appreciate you guys for taking care of my old pup and giving her more years!! 🩷
