Public Dog Park at Pet Safe Village

Be careful before letting your dog off leash in this park — check the entire fence first! We had used this park many times without any issues until yesterday our dog suddenly disappeared. He had escaped through a large hole in the fence hidden behind bushes. It was a miracle we found him — he had run all the way to the collision center on Lexington Dr, far from the park. The hole looked large enough for a dog our size to get through and honestly appeared to be human-made, as it seemed like the wire had been cut (possibly with pliers). I’m sorry I didn’t take a picture of the hole — I was extremely stressed trying to find our dog. I’m only sharing this to help other dog owners stay aware and check the fencing carefully before letting their dogs run free.

The pond access should be locked off during freezing weather. Dogs easily fall in and it is pretty scary. Other than that, the rest of the park is small and does not get much action.

This used to be a really nice dog park, but it’s really gone downhill. The water feature was not working, the pond water level was low and they had removed all of the beautiful trees around the pond. Such a shame. It used to be so beautiful. We ended up leaving and going to the Concord dog park.

Visiting Knoxville on a work trip and wanted to take my dog to a park. Proximity to hotel, as well as the photos, made me choose this one. There were no dogs when we arrived around 6:30pm. Luckily two showed up after. Nice size park but you could tell it hadn't been serviced in a while. Lawn was high and full of weeds. The "pond" is nothing more than a contaminant filled reservoir, and there was no way I was allowing my dog anywhere near it.

This was a lovely dog park, with separate areas for large dogs and small dogs. There is also another separate area with a pond and fountain so the pups can swim - but it’s separate so if you want to keep them dry, you can. A few bits of agility equipment which was fun. It also had some benches under shade. A couple of water outlets for the dogs to drink, one was broken on our visit though. You can do a few circuits of the park to get steps in, we spent about 30 minutes here
