(from Google)Great trail to walk with little side quests as you go through. My favorite area is the fern path.
Nice nature walk well maintained trails. The only negative is that highway noise is fairly loud
I wish Ft Myers had more parks that allowed dogs. I was pleasantly surprised with the trials here. You could easily spend 2+ hours exploring FL nature. Trails are easy to walk (dirt & boardwalk) and well maintained. Parking was tight but there was a big family taking pictures that day. The section that is lined with ferns was so beautiful and the smell reminds me of camping when I was younger. My little dude, Hershey was wore out but had a great time too. We will definitely be putting this park in our rotation.
Beautiful trail system and a nice boardwalk. It was hot and bug spray is definitely a must in August, but if you go early enough the lower temperatures plus the shade will make for a nice little hike. We did not have any standing water but saw several low spots that recently had standing water, so probably wear shoes that can get wet. Took the dog and he had a great time. We saw several other people with dogs as well.
I definitely got my exercise at this park. went on the full river Loop plus the additional wooded trails. Enjoyed the different areas. never did see the cut through path for the River Loop Trail so I walked the whole trail which got pretty hot since there’s not a lot of shade. seeing a gator towards the end of the loop trail was a great reward! Loved the woody trails and the shade provided!
